Can we talk about Peyton Schoettle for just a minute? He placed 8th at U17 51 kg… blood round match was against Shamus Regan… and beat him 7-6. Oh, not sure who he is? Just a Fargo National Champion and a prep National Champion. Beyond that, just a ridiculous resume of accomplishments.

Marian University-Ancilla is a Junior College in Plymouth, IN. As a Junior College we are always actively recruiting all weights. If you are a Senior and looking to wrestle in college and still looking for your home at the next level, I would like the opportunity to talk with you about the opportunity here. This year we had 4 National Qualifiers and 8 Academic All-Americans. In the past 5 yrs we have had 14 National Qualifiers and 18 Academic All-Americans. When you see Davidson from Michigan and Chesterton in the finals after Mason Parris just won it. Gable was born here. Streck just won his second D2 title. Greg Wagner was a 3 time AA. Tony Vaughn was an AA.  Hartleroad already has won U16's. Can we say that we produce the best Heavy's in the Country?

No it's to disparage the Fort Wayne semi-state as much as possibly can. Why not compare to New Castle or East Chicago?
 
The Mooresville regional had 6 champs, 14 in the top 4, and 21 total placers. Fort Wayne had 3 champs and 12 in the top 4. New Castle had 4 champs and 10 in the top 4. East Chicago had 1 champ and 10 in the top 4. The rest of Evansville had 0 champs and 2 in the top 4.
 
Yet here we are trying to make the Fort Wayne semi-state look bad.

What's crazy about the Farnell and Hartleroad 4 over 1's is that the wins look so impressive and deserved. But then in both cases, the 2s and 3s that finished ahead of them last week lost fairly convincingly to the guys who lost to the #1 that they just beat. Ha

Eli had the #1 kid in FW SS, pinned him, #3 kid in the FW SS in the ticket, won. #6 kid in FW SS in the semis, won. He finally fell to the #8 kid in the FW SS in the finals. He gave death row a pretty solid run today!
