Thanks to everyone involved in Indiana wrestling for providing a great competitive environment.  I have enjoyed high school wrestling very much and have improved my skills over the past 3 years by competing with the best.  My family and I are moving to Baton Rouge, Louisiana at the end of July and I will be wrestling there my senior year.  Thanks to my coaches for preparing me for success on and off the mat, especially Coaches Brad Harper, Chad Hershberger, and Taylor Hart and the many volunteer coaches involved in making Penn wrestling such a great program.  Thanks also to some of the great wrestlers I have had the honor to wrestle, especially Trevor Penrod, Brayden Lowery, Jacob Moran, Jose Diaz, and all the other great competitors who kept me “on my toes” so to speak. I look forward to keeping up with all of you next year as I continue to strive to reach my own personal goals.  Good luck next season.

Lost my Flo Roku feed so getting basic internet update.   2-0 Sarah at end of the 1st.   2nd period 3-0 Sarah    Takedown and turn Sarah for 7-0  Failed challenge 8-0 Sarah.   Match over Sarah Hildebrandt World Team Member.  Way to go young lady.

Sarah scores a TD early off Agello stumbling off her attack.  Sarah gets another TD late in the 1st.  Sarah using great head hands defense to start the 2nd.  Scores again in middle of 2nd off Agellos shot. Sarah battling hands and holding position well at end.  6-0 win and one match from making the World Team.

This is the most Greco action Indiana has seen in a long time.

Oh you right my bad, we were IHSWCA state champions, which is also a goal! Team titles don’t grow on trees, they’re pretty hard to come by. We’ll continue to work on folkstyle, which has worked well for our Brownsburg staff, but thanks for the concern Hector!

Great room again last night! It sure gets funky in there when you have Timberman, and Hatch showing technique. We appreciate those guys and Cory Cavanaugh for coming out a rolling, all kids had a lot of fun and we’re working hard!

Do people still care about Greco, not trying to ruffle any feathers but very few colleges care about Greco. That’s why ISWA triple crowns are pointless, in my opinion.

Yes I agree somewhat triple crown is a cool thing for the kid but for high school not so much.  Much tougher to win that high school state title than a triple crown.  Lot of top high school kids don’t wrestle in any of these three tournaments especially not folk style state that’s right after their long season. 

I agree. I see some parents posting their kid won state and only had 3-5 kids in the weight class or they got second out of 3-4 kids.  Come on. You have lot of factors going on.  Are they winning state in a weight class that is loaded or just watered down. Who did they beat or get beat by.  I think it’s  accomplishment and pretty cool for the kid that wins the triple crown but for most part it’s not that big of a deal

Stevan Micic started his first tournament wrestling for his father's native country of Serbia this morning at 57kg at the European Championships in Russia. He lost a tight one 6-4 in the Round of 16 to the Russian. However, the Russian advanced to the final so Stevan will be in the repechage tomorrow morning. In the repechage, he'll have a solid Frenchman who's beaten some top guys in the past, including an upset over a Georgian today. He'll wrestle a Spaniard for bronze if he wins that. The Russian beat the Frenchman 6-0 and teched the Spaniard so it would seem Stevan has a good chance to medal at this loaded event.

Each evening this week from 4:30-6 there will be an "olympic style" clinic at Jeffersonville High School from grades 5-12 with ISWA/USA memberships
