There are projected to be 100 individual ranked wrestlers competing! Maple is #1 for a reason, 4th last yr at NCAA losing in OT in.the semis to montel marrion from Iowa He is also the defending Midlands Champion at this weight & was also named last yrs outstanding wrestler of the midlands tournament after beating & upsetting then #1 ranked marrion in the finals! I'm pumped for this match I definitely have confidence in Tsirtsis, he did beat NCAA champion caldwell over the summer!! Let's go Jason!!!!! azcoach Posted December 30, 2012 Share Posted December 30, 2012 I can remember, vaguely, traveling to the Midlands when they were contested in a high school gym and watching the great Iowa heavyweight Chris Taylor at 400 plus pounds weigh heavy on the field.
