In Cadet Greco 132 Champange, 220 Tolley, & HWT Jolley-Little all getting attention as top contenders by Flo  after recent performances. 88 Hildebrandt, and 106 Coy had solid Cadet Dual showings so they may have been on the fringe list.  Good luck to the Cadet Greco squad.

Looks like 3 more AA in cadet Greco with Tolley having a good shot to make the finals today.

Jolley garrunteed at least 6th and Coy will be going for 7. Great comeback for coy, very tough to place especially when dropping your first match.

Better showing for Cadet Greco than we have seen in a few years. Good job guy!

In Junior Greco 160 Johnson and 170 Mappes getting some respect from FloWrestling outlook for their recent performances.  A few of our Junior Greco guys also showed promise with a solid Junior Duals performance.  Hopefully we can keep the ball rolling from Cadet Greco.

Riley Lefever also named as one to watch at 182, but will be at 170 this week.

Sorry must have skimmed by him.   Riley had a nice showing at Junior Duals and at the Central Regional.

FYI www.Themat.tv has links to the live feeds.  Both FloWrestling and themat.tv also have recordings of previous matches.

If you go to trackwrestling and view the dashboard, you can customize it to show only Indiana wrestlers.  Each mat with video will have a video camera and a link to that page on TheMat.tv.  Pretty neat stuff to say the least.

The guys that designed the set up for this system Adam Fenn (Wrestling Video Solutions) has a created a nice system for coverage.  His website has some information on the process and templates used if any tech people are interested in how it all works.  http://adamfenn28.me/wrestling-video-tools

Junior Greco continues today with K. Johnson and S. Mappes looking for at least one more win to ensure All American status.

Women's Junior will also be going on.  (Women are allowed to compete who already wrestled Cadet)

Paxton trying to improve upon her Junior 8th in 2011

Kayla Miracle looking to comeback from her lose in this years Cadet and improve upon 2nd in Juniors from a year ago.

Courtney Gray and Brooke Bunch trying to continue their run after being All Americans in Cadets a few days ago.

Rounding out the Women's team Lindsey Prozanski hopes to rebound from her earlier Cadet showing.

After the first Junior Greco session here is the scorecard: 14 entered, 3 undefeated(Lefever, Johnson, Mappes), 6 with 1 loss, 5 are out.

Wow, Mappes has had an amazing year. Comes out of nowhere, never a state qualifier, beats the sentimental favorite and prototypical wrestler-athlete in Willis at State, wins State Title undefeated, and is on the cusp of a Junior AA Status.  He should be the standard for kids to look up to, that if you have to keep banging each practice, each match, and each year,  you will reach that point where everything can start clicking for you.

I forgot, was he even pre-season ranked last year?

And for Miracle to get beat by another cadet is a huge upset. That girl from HI must be a bruiser if

she hung with Miracle.

Yes Mappes was ranked 5th to start the season.  He was by no means under the radar, just came up short at semi-state a few times.  He always has had great off-season success, especially in the Olympic styles.  He is very prototypical of a wrestler that starts his career in the upper weights wrestling opponents that are stronger and more mature.

What a scrapper. His Semi-final against Willis was one of the top 5 matches at State this year.  Prepared, Poised, Patient, and didn't Panic.

She was countering Miracle's shots and then fending her off late.  Looked like Kayla was the better technical wrestler, but she wasn't able to finish her offense.  The larger weight class maybe something she is still adjust her offensive attacks to.

Looks like she was able to figure things out in Junior so far and has made the finals.
