The Guru
That's the best 160 pound kid in Los Angeles? He couldn't get out of a decent sectional in Indiana.
Former Wrestler 2006
That's the best 160 pound kid in Los Angeles? He couldn't get out of a decent sectional in Indiana. I don't think that is the point. I think the point is that he got screwed over by his state. It is a good thing we don't have to have an ID card to get into events in Indiana. PreparetoWin
I guess it decides where on the fence you sit as to what you think about this situation. If you are one who is black and white and says this is the letter of the law and anyone who doesnt abide by these exact words shall be penalized, or you could say rules are made as an overall blanket statement but sometimes applying reason to certain situations is whats best for athletes. I sometimes jump the fence according to the situation, but for the most part I lean toward following the rules at all times otherwise just get rid of the rule. TripleB
I kind of see where they are coming from. This would prevent something like the Killer Bee's old swap-a-roo.

Navy215
I don't see how they can justify sending a kid to state who didn't even compete. And I completely agree with The Guru's statement. That looked like a bad heavyweight match.
1oldwrestler
That was like watching your grandparents have sex! No one wants to see that! Good Lord! I think they did the wrestling world a favor by keeping the kid out of the tournament.
au160
the only thing more shocking than the article was how bad this kid was for a potential 2x city champion
