FurgaSonic
I personally think the parade of champions is more exciting if you are a qualifing wrestler. But I love how the finals can be unpredictable and anybody can win.
hoosier90
Saturday morning quarterfinals and semi-finals. It is go all out with those matches. You can see the hunger on the athletes' faces as they warm up mat side for a shot at "the lights".
FurgaSonic
Whatever part you pick I don't think you can go wrong. I also love that Indiana is one of the only states that if you win you are the outright state champ, class A or whatever other states have. gstemv81
"...or whatever other states have." I detect a lack of enthusiasm for a 1a state title! Better: Indiana State Champion.
FurgaSonic
yes you do I believe if you want to be the best you will work the hardest you can to be to beat the best regardless of class size. I would rather be a state champion than class champion.
awood2
The parade. Everyone still has a shot at the top step. All the families there cheering on their wrestler.

awood2
Everyone who enters that arena on the floor level: coach, wrestler, referee... has spent time in a gym, alone on a road, etc. dreaming about being able to walk on that floor in front of all those fans. The first time you come out of that tunnel and there is your family and friends looking at you with that hope in their eyes, hope that fate will choose you. Looking up at the ceiling from the floor is a sight that is much different that in the stands. You realize very quickly that this is like no tournament you have ever been in. As you circle the mats and you begin to look around at the other coaches, athletes, and referees that you have watched for years from the seats the reality hits you that you have earned your place here. You realize that you have entered into an elite club of people that many will never know. At that moment your dreams are real, they are attainable, and you can't deny the support you have gained from your community. It surrounds you and it is intoxicating. If you go, take the time to look at the families that come to cheer. It is a moment to remember. The best and worst part about officiating state was after every match you witnessed the reactions of the families and coaches. One dream is realized and one community is devistated at the sound of each buzzer.

awood2
Spring temps! Leaving the frozen tundra of the northlands and some sunny 45 degree weather is always good too. This time of year the landscape here up north is typically piles of dirty snow and flooded curbs along every street :-\
