nonetheless this is by far the greatest tournament. always such high quality wrestling. it brings a state finals atmosphere. i love it.

Al Smith is the greatest of all time.. very respected, produced many area head coaches, coached wrestling with attitude and class. to this day he loves the sport and continues on at his legacy in helping with anything wrestling at Mishawaka. Not to mention he is a motivational mentor . Hopefully Snyder comes back soon to continue to expand Al Smiths creation more than he has already.

All things considered.. if Mishawaka had their full lineup there wouldnt be a discussion. With that said, that lineup is in the past and they have what they have and hope for the best for all of the Cavemen! Such a tragedy to lose most of the team and one of the best coaches around.

Perry is a solid team and a whole lot of attitude. They are tough.

What is should do is motivate schools to want that hunger of competing at a high level and eventually make it to the team state, and I believe it does. Team state allows programs to grow because it strives to bring a team together as one and accomplish things both individually and as a team. It also makes individuals better due to the fact it motivates those individuals work harder to achieve high goals. Team state is good for Indiana wrestling, it makes it exciting and it should make small and big schools want that motivation of being very successful. I was in attendance at Team State this year and I've went many years prior and it is a very intense and exciting day of wrestling.

Team State is extremely exciting and good for Indiana wrestling, enough said.
