Mishawaka is pretty good

Mishawaka beats Jimtown 63-0.  They didnt give up a single team point in regional.

Mishawaka is by far the best team in the state.  However, I heard that the officials helped Mishawaka preserve the shut out in a few close matches.

No sour grapes here as I didn't attend the match and have no rooting interest.  Just what I heard from a reliable source at the Jimtown Regional tonight.

After seeing how ridiculous Yorktown's lineup is, I wanted to see where I thought they would fall against Mishawaka.

Let me know what you think:

103-Bevans m.d. Martsolf    4-0

112-Beck p. Phillips                4-6

119-Anderson d. Binion        7-6

125-Bevans d. Wisler            10-6

130-Jackson d. Schrader    13-6  Did not think Jackson was this good until tonight.

135-Hiestand d. Guerra      16-6

140-Eddy m.d. Rench          20-6

145-Harper p. Marshall    26-6

152-Stahl p. Smith              26-12

160-White p. Higgins          26-18

171-Morin d. Castner          26-21  This one is definitely a toss-up

189-Brown m.d. Abu-Shehab 30-21

215-Lentz p. Neff                30-27

285-Thomas d. Janney    30-30

I have seen both of these teams multiple times and really believe that none of these picks are a stretch. Yorktown is the only team left in the state that has a shot at Mishawaka. (Of course, they have to get there first)

I dont see Yorktown winning 8 matches against Mishawaka. Mishawaka is solid all the way through their line-up where yorktown has a couple weak spots. The difference will come down to bonus points and mishawaka will keep it close in the matches they are not favored and the mishawaka guys will gets the bonus points when they are favored

Mishawaka would win at 103, 119, 130 and it would be close at 125

i think 103 is a toss up, definitely not a major for bevans.  119 i think binion is the favorite for a decision. jackson is the favorite over schrader. i also don't think abu-shehab gives up a major, and in a team state finals environment i have a hard time believing marshall is gonna give up a fall to harper, that one's a decision.

You gave Yorktown the points at 140 for Eddy's MD.  That would make it Mishawaka 34-26 over Yorktown.

Congrad. to Mishawaka. You guys were out of this world.  You dominated us but there were still alot of good matches.  130,135,140,145,160,171,189,and 285 were all good matches.  Good luck at State and  bring back the hardware.

This is closer to reality :)  Too many pins will be the difference and Yorktown's weaker spots will be exploited by really good kids for Mishawaka at those weights.

If you are in Mishawaka's path you had better be ready for a brawl.  The Jimmies put on an outstanding performance.  They were ready to match Mishawaka blow-for-blow.  Obviously the Caveman have an answer for just about anything you can throw at them.  I have to add that I think Schrader is the scrappiest of the whole bunch.  Every time I watch this kid wrestle he surprises me in a different way.  At the Al Smith he won in the final seconds with a backwards summersault that landed the other kid on his back.  Last night his final match was part wrestling match/street fight and he won both  :o
