decbell1
I think we did this last year and it was pretty fun. Here is what I remember. Pick the Semi-State Champ in each weight class, along with FOUR others that you think will qualify for state. (Obviously we do not know the formula for the semi-state yet) I am not sure of the scoring, so I will have to look it up and post it later. You get points for picking the correct SS Champ along with points for picking the correct state qualifiers for each weight class. Based on last year, I think if we all pick 5 guys, that gives us some room for bad draws at state. -You will also get one point if one of your picks was knocked out by one of your other picks at the Semi-state level. Boot
Good idea, how do we handle submissions? We could always try something like Survey Monkey and post a link unless Y2 has a better method (which I wouldn't be surprised if he did after seeing the State picks method last year). decbell1
Last year I just tallied them up on my own because not that many people wanted to take the time to look through all 8 sectionals and make predictions. I think this way is a lot more fun because you definitely have to know who is who in this area. You can either post them here for all to see (preferably) or private message me or e-mail me. Whatever works. We had a lot of fun with this. (Especially looking at how many of our picks didn't make it out of regionals (or sectionals!)) jwkwrestler12
I'm a little confused. You want four in each class and of those 4 pick the champ?
decbell1
No, pick 5 guys from each weight class. Designate one of them as your champion, and you will get points for each state qualifier that you correctly select. Picking 5 this year instead of 4 gets you a little bit of margin of error. Everybody will obviously get one guy wrong because there are only 4 state qualifiers.
decbell1
Anybody going to try to pick the four state qualifiers from the FW SS before sectionals actually start? I'll post mine later on tonight, after my annual viewing of Vision Quest.
