Even with 4 forfeits, the 6 that are in this weight make in an amazing weight class.  Here are the records of the 6 kids:

25-3

28-4

25-6

23-3

15-2

17-9

I'd say that's pretty solid.

the arguement against getting rid of 103 is null and void with the percentage of forfeits at 112 being almost identical.

:o :o :o :o :o :-X :-X :-X :-X

Either that or it strengthens the argument that 112 is where the 1st weight class should be. No one is advocating getting rid of a weight class, only adjusting the classes to get more kids on the mat.

I have it in a spreadsheet for release once I get the brackets in, but after getting 14 sectionals here is what I have.

103- 23.74%

112- 21.58%

119-16.55%

125-10.79%

130-10.79%

135-9.35%

140-12.23%

145-8.63%

152-7.91%

160-12.95%

171-10.79%

189-10.07%

215-12.95%

285-18.71%

The spike at 140 and 160 is interesting.

Y2, I did this years ago ('01 maybe?)and came up with similar numbers.  It is adding more work, but it was interesting also as I entered a grade level for each entry and took an average per weight class.  What I saw then was that there was a huge jump in the average grade of wrestlers at 112 and below compared to the other weight classes.  I am sure I took a beating for saying so, but it suggests that once kids hit puberty very few are able to maintain a body weight of less than 112 lbs.
