This week Coach Mike Steele of Westfield Middle School announced his resignation as head coach for the Shamrock middle school wrestling team. Coach Steele has been the head wrestling coach at Westfield Middle school since 1992. During those 26 years he saw Westfield grow from a 2A school of less than 600 students to a 6A school of over 2200 students. He has impacted hundreds if not a thousand or more young men in the Westfield community. His teams were always very successful and did things the right way. Thank you Coach Steele for 26 years of service, coaching, and mentoring, young men and women in the Westfield community. The impact you had in the wrestling program and the school is remarkable.

It take an unstoppable force to move an immovable object. Coon is a mountain of a man, and be the keeper of our HWT spot for at least the next few years. Give Gable a few more years to grow into a true man mountain himself. When that happens we may see Gable claim the spot from him.

Salute and congrats! If it wasn't for 3 caring/involved/impactful middle school teachers, @crosstownrivalsknows who they are and is one, my son would not have found this sport and wouldn't be where he is. Middle school is a vital time in the life of a kid and for the growth of the sport.

I know you know thus stuff MM but for the benefit of the IndianaMat community...I think he'll be well taken care of. There's actually a decent wrestling culture in Serbia, it's just more Greco. They had 3 of 6 weights qualify for the Olympics coming thru the loaded Euro region. More importantly, the president of international wrestling, Nenad Lalovic, is a filthy rich Serbian businessman. If Micic shows even slight signs of medal capability, I'm certain he'll be taken care of very, very well.
