  1. Henson match was blood time, not injury time. If ref sees blood, then he has to stop it right away.
  2. Mooresville regional teams took 4 of the top 6 team spots also.
  3. #TheCounty finishes 1st and 2nd. Both teams with tons of underclass men. I suspect that #TheCounty will have multiple middle school state champs tomorrow. Future looking bright. Btw... tough day at my home. Oh well... good luck to all qualifiers!
  4. Every parents nightmare. My son just started driving. I can only imagine getting a call like that. My thoughts and prayers will be with this young man, his girlfriend, and their families. Sorry to hear.
  5. Huge fan of both kids. Great young men. I have seen both of them grow up. Will hate to see either go home. Good luck to both.
  6. I would like to add to that... I have coached matches where biting was involved. The ref typically looks for top and bottom bite marks. Typically if you have one row of teeth marks, then it may not have been a bite. It may have been just skin rubbing against the mouth and teeth. Can you say, without a doubt, that there were top and bottom teeth marks in this incident? So... yes it is the refs job to interpret if it is an actual bite. Not saying it was or wasn't a bite.... just saying....
  7. The whole Avon team had it over the holidays... it was horrible. The good news is that it typically only lasted two or three days. Which teams have it now?
  8. Congrats to Bryce and family. Seems like yesterday when he walked into our club to wrestle and played youth football in the IEFA. It's been pretty awesome to see him grow to be a man amongst boys. Best wishes, from the Brewer family.
  9. great match... but please don't put it all on one match or kid. A number of things could have went a different way to make a difference. Two top hwts getting after it. Brett just came up short (as others did too). Great day of wrestling. Hats off to Brownsburg and #TheCounty wrestling as a whole.
  10. True! With that said, there are other very successful D3 schools that offer great education and great wrestling. Huge fan of Wabash Wrestling. These kids are all great kids with great families, I'm sure that they will end up doing great things. Now,, with all sarcasm aside please... Can we get some Sectional predictions? Please.
  11. All great wrestlers. All have D1 talent. Can't wait to see them all wrestle at the next level one day. With this said, if they do decide to go D3.... not sure why that they would go to a team that currently bolsters a 5-10 record. With that said, I'm sure that that program would be much improved with those studs.
  12. Actually #TheCountyTMZ is reporting that Avon got some tough sectional draws and will have some tough battles at regionals. This regional is VERY tough from top to bottom (all weights). A quarter of the state champs could come from this regional (brutal). It would be nice to have a Fort Wayne type of regional!
  13. Really the ones that get seeded lower isn't the biggest thing. If a kid is the best then they are going to win anyway. What really stinks is when a kid that is actually the 2nd or 3rd best wrestler gets the 4th or 5th seed (due to wrestling a tough schedule). Those wrestlers get hosed at regionals.
  14. Issac McCormick of Brownsburg up to 220.
  15. Oh my!..... Jason kinda looks tough actually. Why barefooted? Somebody get these guys some matflexes..... and nair!
  16. He or she is ignoring you all... Pretty awesome!!!
  17. Yep, saw her throw a mean headlock against our girl in the finals. Tough wrestler.
  18. Watched it online last night. Some solid wrestling. Could be the start of something big. Congrats to all that participated. These young ladies are blazing the path for great things. Lets here it for these wrestlers! Big ups to Sabrina Predroza from Avon for bringing the state title home to #TheCounty. Also... very impressed to see Harper bring so many girls. Awesome job coach!
  19. Again... what do I know? .... Geeesh.... I'm so stupid!!!!! I'm glad that most seeding doesn't take into account the prior years results! Oh....... wait......

Bbell with his first post!!! Btw... you forgot something.... #TheCounty Look for his son to make some noise (If he goes). Looks like a bunch of kids from #TheCounty are making the trip. Good luck to them all.
  21. Will be disappointed if separation criteria is not added. Hope that we don't see a match up like we saw with Garcia and Alec Viduya to start the day two years ago. It was a long day after that for Alec. Same with Drake Campbell. I think that Alec had to wrestle 11 times that year to get his true second. That was not safe, and things can be done to prevent this. Four years ago my son was coming off a great Novice year. He was a sixth grader and got the one seed at 110. He was NOT the one seed in my book (not even close). Now.... two years later he was good enough to be the one seed, but not as a sixth grader. He did not place as a sixth grader (missed it by one round). He was not the one seed as a returning finalist his 8th grade year, but won it all. Seeding tournaments using track profiles is fine for local tourneys. But.. it should not be done this way for state or national events. Profiles are too easy to manipulate, and kids are coming off good or bad years at an older or younger age group. Maybe this could be the seeding criteria: 1. Returning middle school state champ 2. Returning middle school state placer 3. ISWA folkstyle schoolboy state champ 4. ISWA folkstyle schoolboy top 4 placer 5. ISWA folkstyle novice state champ 6. ISWA folkstyle novice top 4 placer But what do I know!!!
  22. Ison is a 5th grader. Look out for him next year. Look for his bro at 140 this year. Great kids. I would put Schoeff at the top of the list at 85.
  23. Go to perrys facebook page and watch it. It was a great dual.
