I gotta go with Thrine. Going into the tournament, Frazier was the odds on favorite to win comfortably as he was undefeated against Indiana competition, was an Ironman All-American, and the defending state champion ranked as high as 14th nationally, yet a true 15-year-old freshman beat him and subsequently became his school’s first state champion in 28 years and the first undefeated state champion in school history.

That Graham team was ridiculous, with the Schlatter brothers leading the way.  Pretty sure they were a top 5 team in the country at the time of the dual.

Great breakdown buddy, I can attest to the EMD teams, as I was on the receiving end of a Mauer Mauling, they were unreal.. CP, BB and CG were all unreal squads.. I'd love to see how these squads match up in Dual format, but I'll tell you this The 96 EMD team was great as well with 11 State qualifiers/placers.. those LN teams Were awesome.. 2 PM teams that were great.. I'm just glad we have this kinda discussion going because it means we're thriving as a state.

Two great programs both in the far left top and bottom corners of the state that gave us four of the greatest teams in Indiana history twenty years apart. Let’s do some math.

Final Thoughts: If we are ONLY looking at Team State, then EMD 2002 is the best of the bunch, but if we include the entire state series, 2003 is slightly better. I’d say overall, though, EMD still remains atop the throne as the greatest dual meet team ever in Indiana twice over, but Crown Point has risen to be the greatest individual team in Indiana history twice over; they’ve had more qualifiers, medals, and individual championships over the last two years in comparison to EMD in 2002 and 2003.

P.S.: I love that Perry Meridian is STILL in the mix to compete for a championship against the absolute best twenty years later. Falcon Pride.

Like I told @blue and gold what makes him so dangerous is, if  you couldn't see the score and had no context on a match and it's score, you could never tell if Ty was up 10 or losing my 10 because he's Enjoying himself and never 1 time that I've ever seen, just quit or let a moment get the best of him...

Plus, regardless if I was a NC
Trojan or a Yorktown Tiger, I'm a Wrestling fan first, and Ty has never been in a boring match..

His big bro Brevan and brother from another mother, Gavyn also are Nothing but fireworks to watch!  I gotta feeling All 3 NC boys will have fun matches no matter the result.

I do not know this kid at all but I just think with all the talk about the 3 schools and other things it’s getting lost that this young man went 52-0!!! That, for one, is extremely tough to do and cap off with a title. Also so so rare to see a kid with that many matches now. Most kids come in with 30-40 matches most? Looking at his track profile it adds up to him having 184 matches total over 4 years. Just think that’s an awesome career for Aiden Torres really, maybe not to others but congrats!

Gunner Henry has put together two the best campaigns for a light heavy and he is not mentioned enough.  To put things in perspective. His trajectory is on par with Shawn Streck.  His only loses at State are to Orlando Cruz and John Purdy. They graduate.  He has 2 thirds as a light heavy.  He should be nationally ranked I already complained to Flo.

Tony Vaughn Heavyweight Fort Wayne Snider 1991.  A second and third.  Senior year beat the eventual state champ at The Al. Got disqualified in the Semi's at State stalled out whilst on top.  All-American at Purdue placing 3rd as a Sophomore.  Injuries and some unfortunate circumstances prevented him from reaching his full potential. We have a unique connection.  We were teammates my senior year.  I was a volunteer coach at Snider his junior and senior years.  Full circle moment my senior year at Manchester Tony became a student assistant at Manchester so he was now my coach.

He lost it the conference Finals when he was very sick but no excuse he was beaten by Huntington Norths Nick/logan Randle at the NCC championships keeping BC from being a four-time conference champion! BC had beaten him pretty handily earlier in the season for losing to him at conference. What's even crazier is that was Randall's only loss going into State at 41-1 and he would lose a heartbreaker 4-3 to Mason Todd in the first round... That 112 bracket is one of the most loaded brackets I've ever seen in the state finals history... What's even more wild is semi state that year Campbell won, the top four were Campbell, Todd, McKinley and Harvey. That is three state champs and a two-time runner-up all in the same semi state LOL.. Campbell lost to the state champ back 2-0, but that bracket had so many legendary guys that I'm going to have to post it.
