  1. Let's not forget that just this past Wednesday #10 Curtis Yorktown just beat #6 Mills Brownsburg 4-2 At Mooresville. Mills over #13 Walendzak Cathedral by fall earlier in the event. #8 little Rooks Columbus East over both #4 DeMein Northwood by fall and #3 Cavaunagh Penn 8-3 at Al Smith.
  2. Nice win Brownsburg. That coaching staff was able to put a lot of key pieces together in a very short time. This win is more a testament to the development of several wrestlers within the program than just the studs that were already coming through it. You just can't win an event like "Team" State without the buy-in and development of those kids. Winning the Mooresville tournament by a solid margin showed your team had some real potential, but The Bulldogs proved today how deep their lineup really is. Way to knock off not only the top ranked team in the state, but one of the top 25 ranked teams in the nation.
  3. They are not recording a video stream at this years team state.
  4. I'd say because it's IHSWCA event and not an IndianaMat event. While I'm sure they took into consideration the info that went into the IndianaMat rankings, the seeding committee didn't just rely on those rankings. Plus, the seeding committee, to the best of their ability, tried to analyze the teams up to date lineups and how that would effect head to head matchups against the rest of the field. I'd say those recent evaluations would have change what the IndianaMat rankings may have been since 12/14 too. Obviously, the new post event IndianaMat rankings would reflect the results of these matches.
  5. You can at least find some of the dual meet win/loss info here http://indianamat.com/index.php/page/team_rankings.html/_/2016/indianamat-r48
  6. Great tournament for Chad. I can't answer your specific question but, it's worth noting that the announcers said he was the first Purdue wrestler to win Midlands since the original event.
  7. My previous understanding of the tournaments guidelines was that a "seeded" wrestler could not move to another weight class. So I'm not sure those listed below, who were seeded in the original brackets, would be able to compete if they do not remain where they are.
  8. Nothing illegal about that option.
  9. I would say it should come out when TripleB's Star Wars induced coma ends. i.e. right after the holiday tournaments results come in.
  10. Looking over the brackets, I see that former IU wrestler Lucas Sheridan (now with Army WCAP) is competing and still alive in the consol part of Greco 85.
  11. I believe Kayla Miricle is already qualified for the Olympic Trials from her finish in a previous event. As, well as Humphrey (mentioned above) for being a previous world team member. Is there anyone else with Indiana tied to add to the list of "already qualified."

  14. Wyoming Sem. lost one of their top ranked guys for the season right before the Ironman. To win that tough of an event minus a studs that was projected to win his weight class shows some major team depth.
  15. Muncie Central is the next IN school on the current list.
  16. Evansville Memorial Invite on Saturday I don't have the updated team list so this is based on last year schools. Evansville Memorial, Lafayette Jefferson, Evansville North, Seymour, Providence, Indian Creek, Evansville Harrison, Bedford North Lawrence, Evansville Bosse

  18. Triple B is likely camped out in front of the Madison Cinima 6 awaiting the release of the new Star Wars. So unless you can get him a strong enough cell signal and/or want to deal with him analyzing things with a Yoda dialect it maybe a few weeks before he's available.
  19. Welch: 2nd. 5-3 final against Jordan. The results of this event should move him up the ranks several spots. Petrov: 5th over Milhoff of Oklahoma by default. Harvey: 6th Lost to Robertson of Wisconsin.
  20. Yes big statement win for Petrov. He also looked solid in his efforts against national champ Nathan Tomeselo yesterday, though the match didn't end in his favor. Hopefully he can follow it up with another over top 10 Rios/Bresser (name issue somewhere) of Oregon St. next round.
  21. Paul Petrov of Bucknell (Hanover Central HS) also make it to the placement rounds of the consols. Along the way scoring a big win over top 10 ranked and NCAA runner-up Zeke Mosley of West Virgina.
  22. I posted this on the main board since it was former IN high school guys, but Chad Welch with a heck of a tournament so far. Wins over two top 20 guys (one ranked around the top #3) on his way to the finals. Hoping he can put in one more big match and show he can hang with a very tough #2 ranked Isaac Jordan. Also, Brian Harvey Beatles back, including a win over a top 20 opponent, to make it into the placement rounds.
  23. Also, Brian Harvey of Army-West Point (Cathedral HS) is battling back in the consolations, including a win over a top 20 ranked opponent, to stay alive for a high placement.
  24. Chad Welch of Purdue (Castle HS) makes the Cliff Keen Invitational finals after a win over #3 Ranked Cliff Moore of Norther Iowa and top 20 ranked Clark Glass of Oklahoma. Welch will now face #2 ranked Isaac Jordan of Wisonsin who is a 2x NCAA All-American. Big tournament for him so far, hopefully he can have a great showing in the finals too.
