  1. I thought in the ultimate tie breaker, that was considered controlled wrestling?
  2. What is the correct call? Is there stalling in the ultimate tie breaker when both wrestlers are down on the mat?

  5. But that was the way they did things back then, no stepping back. Back then a wrestler could get disqualified for taking an opponent down and then purposely letting him up (running up takedowns). Refs would say that you weren't working for the fall...
  6. Was the offensive wrestler hanging on a leg when the stalling occurred?
  7. NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind.- Nick Crume's championship in the 133-pound bracket highlighted UIndy wrestling's showing at the 2014 Indiana Little State Tournament, hosted this year by Manchester University. Crume, the two-seed in the bracket, went 3-0 on the day en route to the championship, with a pair of major decisions followed by a 19-2 tech fall of top-seeded Mitch Pawlak of Indiana Tech in the title bout. In addition to Crume's title, eight more Greyhounds placed in the top four of their respective brackets. Clayton Monebrakewent 3-1 on the day at 165, with a fall and a major decision accounting for two of his victories. Brian Wagner also took second, in the 197 bracket, recording two major deisions before falling in the bracket final. Barry McGinley (157), Shelden Struble (174) and Jake Rickenbaugh (184) all placed third in their brackets. McGinley went 3-1 with a tech fall and a major decision, while Struble was 4-1 on the tournament with three pins. Rickenbaugh, in his first collegiate action, was 3-1 on the day with a 12-4 major decision win over CiVaughn Green in the third place match. Rounding out the UIndy top-four placers were Mitch Goldbach (133), Angelo Robles (141), Lucas Rooney (165) and Tyler Scott (197), who all took fourth place in their brackets. UIndy will close out its competition in the 2014 calendar year with next weekend's Midwest Classic. The 36th annual edition of the event hosted by UIndy will feature 28 teams from across NCAA Divisions II and III, as well as the NAIA. Wrestling from Nicoson Hall and the Ruth Lilly Fitness Center will take place Saturday and Sunday. http://athletics.uindy.edu/news/2014/12/6/WREST_1206141720.aspx?path=wrest
  8. Indiana Hook (from referee side, put the hand you had on waist to his inside thigh, take hand that was on elbow, go under body and grab far arm above elbow, pull arm toward you while lifting thigh (dump him) do not go over too far when doing the dump, you should be on your knees, the hand that you pulled the elbow with will encircle head and lock this hand up with other on on the thigh to get your cradle, take him to his back and go up on your toes. (when you pull him under and lock it up, it is basically a head in the side cradle, take him to his back.
