I see the problem. TTipton is not talking about the team in Evansville. He is talking about some school called MatRE Dei. The school that I have so much respect for is MatER Dei. Must be two different schools.

Why would HS wrestlers be there for elementary live. We are not always the best but I am pretty sure they could whip our elem. kids. -

From what I have heard Coach Tonte's thoughts are probably exactly like this: all of these match ups will be highly contested. These two matches in particular are going to be battles. We, I mean, he expects to see Cathedrals best efforts and I am pretty sure he has the same expectations from the Perry kids. I did hear that he may have deflated the blow up Falcon several years ago and filed it under the"didn't work" storage bin. Hope that helps your fantasy picks:)

On Thursday for our wrestling meet the weigh in will be at 5:15. We will wrestle the JV match at 6;00. The varsity match will begin after a short recognition for our wrestling alumni at 7 pm Tom Clark and Pete Schroeder will be the officials.

I want to say first that Center Grove is a very good program that we have great respect for. They work hard. They show good sportsmanship and they are very competitive. We at Perry always expect a great dual, an exciting atmosphere and a healthy rivalry. Its early, they have some kids out. They will be just fine and will be very very tough soon. Exactly Jimtown. All those fans showed up all these years at Conseco and did not care about a team score. Likewise, the Team State brings in the biggest amount of dual meet fans for one day, for the year!!! Pretty good system.

And even further back cavemen used to beat women with a club and drag them into the cave and nobody thought there was anything wrong with it. My wife would not appreciate that very much. However there are some people out there that still think it's ok. As we as a race get smarter we evolve and change the way we do things. If you are really so convinced that the old way is the best way then how far do you suggest we go back. Lets just say, only the winner advances. 4 to state. Why would we go any further than that. There could not have been a better way because that's the old way. And we all agree on this site that the TEAM crowned state champs could have a losing record and not win sectional, regional or semi state. I really sound like an idiot even saying that but there you have it. The best way because it's the old way. I guess Ohio is taking steps backwards next year.

Well, I really did not want to get on here and say this but I believe I am developing a sickness that spread and came from the eastside of town, Warren(I just cant stay off the site and leave well enough alone). Sorry WC182, just kidding man!! Anyway, ffts, who cares. The dual meet system really means nothing after this year so if you only have a handful of kids it should not matter. If we are getting prepared for a scoring system to win a state title then what does it matter if we have fft's in dual meets. Why does it matter what the score was because it has nothing to do with who is better and who is going to be better at the end of the season. A team could fft 9 weight classes, maybe 10 and still win state but never win a dual.

let me look at Bobby's quotes. First, its only happened a few times where teams put in their back ups and it has been several years back(almost full teams). Why didn't he seem concerned when Carmel put in some of their back up runners on the state roster so that they could rest some of their best kids and still make it through to the next level. Or, how about when a 4 by 4 team which is allowed two alternates in track, puts the alternates in and still places top three in a heat to move on(not win the heat which is against the integrity of high school athletics-to not try to win). Plus, whats wrong with putting young kids in when you are beat to gain experience. Football does it every week, week end and week out for years apon years. I dont see them cancelling the football games. Oh, and basketball does it almost every game as well. He clearly said last year that losing money was not an issue which I would assume is tied to attendance(which by the way was up last year from the year before and they still made approx. 5-6ooo dollars). As he said last year in the Indianapolis Star-it has nothing to do with money. We lose money on lots of sports. The coaches wanted this-actually the coaches wanted a classed team state!!! and, the committee that voted 14-0 did the same thing for wrestle backs some years ago-I guess the committee understands the needs in our sport??

My thrower will be none other than The Cuban Missle Crisis himself. I don't think Coach Schoettle can dodge 106 mph hammer from the Reds Aroldis Chapman. Plus being a Cubs fan he had no shot at surviving this hammer throw since May.
