    Spencer has some real impressive wins and a few "quality losses" (if you believe in that term). Would he have a shot?? Sure ! He wrestled well with cashe and to be honest it's to easy to pick the number 1 and 2 ranked wrestlers in the finals in reality that don't happen cause of draws and upsets. In reality all sixteen wrestlers in their weight classes has the potential to make to to the finals.

    I honestly never paid attention to that or noticed that ! But that is crap to shorten the consolation matches ! Why would they shorten consolation matches ?"

    If Mishawaka has their full line up (Wisler & Smith) I think they will win it. If not I say Perry wins it.

    I say Merrillville. But I always root for the guys from my area semistate (Ft.Wayne) at state.

    I saw in 92' Ester (Snider) beat state runner Wilson (Warsaw) in the ticket round at Ft.Wayne semi state. I'm sure there are alot of other instances of this happening just can't think of any at this moment. Almost forgot R.Baker (Bellmont ) beating Woodson (Snider) I believe 3x's and Baker place 6th while Woodson won state.

    I've seen a decline in this conference and is wondering what happened ? In the 90's Northrop and Snider were good programs ( Snider lasted a little longer than Northrop ).

    Looking at these lineups I say 2000 region team wins ! But it would be an awesome fantasy dual ! There are alot of other wrestlers worth mentioning for both 90's & 00's !

    All those are top wrestlers of their weight class how are they upsets ? Kieffer over Johns is the only one I can say was an upset of some kind ! both are quality wrestlers though ! Upsets I think are underdogs that were givin not much chance and pulled out with a victory ! Brook Norton has made some noise and has gotten noticed with victories over Sheets 8-3 & Egolf ! both were ranked higher at time of both matches. Ward(dekalb)over Corsaro 7-3 Quiroz beating Baker not once but twice at Mishawaka ! Very impressive for a freshman at 152 ! Hamilton pinning Walters was an early season upset !

    I'm not the type to bash a wrestler ! But I don't understand why Ethan Raley is in the honorable mention ? He is a great wrestler and dominated last year ! But I could be wrong but most of the tournaments that had other ranked wrestlers in his class he was either overweight or sick ! Point is he hasn't faced anyone ranked this year ! Again I'm not bashing anyone but something just didn't look right !

    I agree with some of the post. Personally I don't get into hugging but if my son or wrestler gave it his all and still lost than yeah he deserves some comfort. I have seen over the years kids looking at rankings and get scared before the match starts or they go out with a " I'm gonna get my buttkicked attitude ". Those aren't the ones that deserve any comfort. As much as like rankings and seeing how the other kids in the state are doing. I also find it as a distraction. I know when I wrestled I never looked at the rankings. This way if I found out I just beat someone ranked it was a confidence builder. I looked at everyone the same. Anybody could have their day. Back to the question if someone put alot of effort into it than yes they should get some comfort.

    Actually it was like that for the Bellmont vs Adam central dual of the 88-89 season and It was like that the same year for the Delta vs Adam Central dual at Adam Central.

    For Bellmont I say Tim Myers 2x champ and a Runner up. And if I remember correctly he also won junior freestyle nationals.
