  1. I think it's an interesting question..............I know they don't play a 3/4th game in football. Do they in basketball? I don't understand the reasoning for giving 2 teams a 3rd place medal. I think they should either have them wrestle for 3/4 or eliminate the practice of giving medals beyond 2nd.
  2. Thanks...........I thought I saw that thread on here at one point.
  3. I was just wanting some information from teams that have already made this trip. What are some tips on places to stay? What is the average cost per kid? What are some fundraising ideas that you have used? Any information would help! Thanks
  4. Jim West led the match 1-0 in the 2nd period at the time of the flagrant misconduct call.
  5. Here is the contact information for the IHSAA: IHSAA Contact Information Indiana High School Athletic Association 9150 Meridian Street P.O. Box 40650 Indianapolis, Indiana 46240 (Phone) 317-846-6601 (Fax) 317-575-4244 Any questions or comments? Contact the webmaster at: webmaster@ihsaa.org Please note that due to the volume of e-mail messages that we receive on a daily basis, our first priority is to respond to our member schools and registered officials, so we may not be able to respond to every message in a timely manner. . The IHSAA will not respond to e-mail messages that do not include the sender?s full name, affiliation, mailing address and telephone number. If you need contact information for a specific individual at the IHSAA, click here. bress@ihsaa.org bcox@ihsaa.org This can't hurt. I'm sure the more emails that are recieved concerning Jim West, the better our chances are. Right now we are at Ground Zero.
  6. I'm not going to state the name of the official on here, but if you want to find out you can look in your State Finals Programs.
  7. I'm sure if we had our semi state tournement at the in ROMEColiseum someone would complain about something...........at least it's not Merrilleville
  8. Ask Anthony Fodrea if the 4th place finisher at Regional matters.
  9. Batt lost to: Blanton (Alexandria) Rushing(Homestead) Elkins (Snider) Lee (Garrett) Perry (Bluffton) Morrison (Harding) Raley (Indian Creek)
  10. ECIC 160lb class 1st: Cody Becker (NE) dec. Cody Conrad (HER) 5-0 3rd: Chase Edwards (ALX) dec. Adam Hofstetter (SA) 9-4 5th: Dylan Holcomb (WIN) maj. dec. Eric Beougher (JC) 0:55 7th: Trent Fuller (BLK) win by INJ Default to Duran Bocanegra (UC) These are the only Blackford results that I've seen on here, but Fuller #4 at 160 didn't fair so well. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
  11. I thought I saw Beck at 140 last night against you guys............. ???
  12. Coach Peck, could you please post that IHSAA rule? Thanks!
  13. I don't know why, but everyone seems to forget about the best Mixed Martial Artist to come out of Indiana, and that's Jon Fitch who wrestled at Carroll! Wrestling will continue to grow with MMA. I've seen a ton of interest in wrestling, just because kids want to eventually become mixed martial artists. Wrestling is the only one of those arts, for the most part, that is offered in high school.
  14. Another reason that I'm not a fan is because at a lot of the smaller schools the head coach pulls double duty. It's not realistic to expect a coach to leave for semi state at 6:00 a.m., return around 11:00 p.m. and then leave for middle school state again at 5:00 a.m.
  15. Not to be a Debbie Downer, but I believe that there would be a much better turnout, if the middle school state finals would be held after the IHSAA tournement series is over. It would be much more convenient and I believe the quality of wrestlers attending would rise. Not to say that the quality is low now, but I think this is a way to improve middle school state.
  16. Is there anywhere, where anyone is predicting the 8 place winners?
  17. I believe his last name is Thieme. I'm not sure what his first name is, but he is a huge wrestling fan in general. He goes to just about any local wrestling meet that he can. He is also, a part time ninja.
  18. Currie won at Regional, AC Computer. A few more............. Denny Schwartz vs Mike Ester I have heard, was a great series. Tyson Bercot vs Josh Mann was always an entertaining match Ryan Landis vs Ben Sprunger Vince McCafee vs James Lewis
  19. I just took a look at the results from the ACAC 130 lb class. All 6 place winners are at semi state. Pretty impressive/deep for a small school conference.
  20. He's from Muncie Central, has an excellent record, beat Bevans of Yorktown 15-4, and is a Sectional Champ, so I would say he's not overrated. "where he from" "is he preety good" These guys are obviously both I.U. English majors.
  21. I love the all caps. I have a hard time thinking that Yorktown choked, rather Bellmont stepped up to the challenge like they have time and time and time again.
  22. I thought after watching this fight, that Fitch was a much more worthy opponent than Penn.
  23. Maybe if you had an appendectomy in 1965. I was up and at em in a day and a half, no joke. Although I was a little sore. I do agree about the inner stiches though. I forgot about those, they're nothing to mess with.
  24. The crazy thing is that I think the A.C. vs Bellmont dual had almost as many people in attendance!
