  1. New Castle's 103 is out for the year, emergency appendix removal Wednsday morning
  2. Congratulations to Roncalli, they came to wrestle and wrestled well. Good luck at the finals.
  3. Roncalli wrestles New Castle thursday night
  4. the 112lb Kieffer is a great scrambler aso.
  5. visited Brenden this afternoon, very diaappointed but in good spirits and looking forward to next year. the rest of the team will have to step up if we are to continue in the team tourney.
  6. Just a thought, but why don't all the schools (and/or clubs) pitch in a few bucks and vols to make sure there is a hospitality room?
  7. Mulins was up 13-1 when he got kicked in the head. Rung his bell pretty good, he just made sure he didn't gett urned after that, it was take down and cut for Kieffer the rest of the match. Mullins fought on his feet, but made sure he didn't get thrown to his back by conceding takedowns.
  8. I'm just finishing my 1st year of officiating, what is the process for renewing? Thanks
  9. NC wrestlers 1st 103 Campbell 112 Mullins 130 Fellers 145 Bennett 152 Marcum 160 Wasson 215 Cole 2nd 119 Catron 125 Fellers 140 Slover 3rd 285 Alefon(sp) Little Greek 4th 171 Allee 5th 189 Bunner 6th 135 Rose
  10. Plus in the sectionals with more than 8, if you receive a FF , you get 2pts advancement plus 2pts ( same as a fall) for a total 4pts.
  11. the other wrestler for NC was a 5th seed at 135lbs
  12. No set standard. If school is in a conference they have a standard set of weight classes, if not the home team sets the weights. There isn't even a set season.
  13. Has he been back long enough to get the 6 qualifying weighins?
  14. How about a 4 way dual setup. Semi State Champs Mville vs FW NC vs Eville Mville vs NC FW vs Eville Mville vs Eville NC vs FW Only 3 rounds of wrestlin, should go fairly quickly, but what a great 3 rounds it would be!!!!!!!!
  15. Another advantage to adding a mid hvywght class would be that it increases the number of team spots to 15. This becomes a great benefit in the case of a team tie, you would never need more than 2 criteria. 1. Unsportsmanlike conducts 2. Total matches won (with an odd # of matches, can not possibly remain tied)
  16. the 103 lb class at the New Castle Semi state is loaded and will be worth the cost of admission itsself. Campbell, Phillips, McKinley, Harvey, Todd, Price, ect....... some very good wrestlers aren't going to make it out of there.
  17. Unless the rules have changed since I was the ISWA Folkstyle Director, although 5th graders are allowed to wrestle at this tourney, they MUST BE ON THEIR STATES SANCTIONED TEAM(S). The ISWA only sanctions the TWO teams determined from their qualifier. This was the rule for the last 4 years at least, maybe they have changed this year. Jacob brings up some very valid points.
  18. Mr. Hart has a very interesting and well thought out answer to the class wrestling debate. Actually the best comments that I have heard or read. Congratulations to this outstanding young man.
  19. warrendad, glad to see Johnathon having a good year, wish him the best.
  20. The team regional is going to be interesting. My take on who will be there. from Shenendoah sectional- New Castle from Jennings Co. sectional- Colum. N or Colum. E from Warren sectional- Roncalli or New Pal from S. Dearborn sectional- East Central will be very interesting, CN defeated NP, NP defeated NC (33-33, first criteria), NC defeated Roncalli and East Central.
