  1. Baker got 3rd, 3rd, 6th, and 7th Was a heavy favorite and had 3 wins over that year's State Champ (Jason Woodson) as a senior, but was upset by sophomore (future State Champ) Heath VanDeventer in the Quarter-finals
  2. I will say this just based purely on what I have seen in the past. I have seen a wrestler on bottom get the top wrestlers legs, face him, and lift the top wrestler completely into the air for about 2 seconds and the buzzer sounded as the top wrestler was being returned to the mat. No escape was awarded. The referee said since there was no separation, then there was no escape, and the outside referee agreed. It was one of the more ridiculous calls I have ever seen, but it was made none the less. If the scenario I just described was not an escape, then there is no way the situation I watched in your wrestlers video was an escape... Hope this helps...
  3. Strong showing at state moves me up 5 spots!!! I'll wear #6 with pride!!!
  4. Doesn't look like an escape to me... I could see an escape if they were on their feet and Rhodes maybe not having the leg hooked with his arm, but I am certainly not a referee...
  5. Last I can remember was Steve Stahl from Elkhart memorial. I believe he lost to Ryan Konrath at Sectional, regional, and Semi-State, and went on to win it all.
  6. IU had Angel Escobedo, but I do think they could make a better charge at recruiting more locally grown talent...
  7. @138 Coy vs McKinney would happen in the quarter finals... Therefore only one of them will be top 4
  8. Ran out???? Bellmont guy tied up with him and pushed him out of bounds right after being let up, which last I checked, is not running out of bounds... 2nd call came when Gray was staying in the middle blocking 2 shots... Watch the video, hard to argue with that... The link is on the first page... Even the announcers on the webcast talked about how much of a bad call it was... If you think he ran out of bounds, there is one of two things going on: 1. You are legally insane or 2. You must be a blood relative of the Bellmont kid
  9. 100% stalling!?!?! Twice in 8 seconds while staying in the center??? Nice try... It was a terrible call, plain and simple... There is simply no argument...
  10. Rawest draw is Joe Lee, with a runner-up being Jacob Gray
  11. After seeing the draws for 170 @ State... Bellmont fans would probably now say it was the greatest call ever... Gray really gets beat on a TERRIBLE call and is given the 2nd worst draw he could have gotten... Meanwhile the Bellmont kid gets the best draw he could get... Knew that was going to happen...
  12. Those sneaky Bellmont Guys!!! Always siding with their own!!! (I would never do that with a fellow Eagle LOL)
  13. Backed straight up??? Looked like he got pushed out, with no shot taken, after letting him up and then just defended two shots in the last 8 seconds... Saying he backed straight up for 12 seconds is ridiculous... Calling someone for stalling at the buzzer is ridiculous on its own... Its easy to say it was a good call when it only benefitted your guy...
  14. That was my entire complaint... How do you call a guy for stalling, twice, when he just scored the only TD of the entire match?!?! Defending two half-effort shots doesn't even justify a warning...
  15. Just watched it again... What a joke!!!!
  16. He got hosed bad... How do you get called for stalling twice in less than 10 seconds?????? Especially when he scored the only TD of the entire match... Hope he gets rewarded with a better draw next week...
  17. The draws at 120 had a lot to do with that... It's not very often that we actually see the "top 4" make it through, especially when two of the "top 4" are in the same regional... The draw worked out great for these four... How is it possible for Maddox have 8 TD's on Evans when they have wrestled twice, with him winning 5-4 and 10-5? Unless the scores are listed wrong...
  18. WRONG! Apparently you have forgotten the entire 80's and early 90's
  19. Gray and Langeloh will both win with ease
  20. Top 4 in order: 106 DeMien, Streeter, Curtis, Miller 113 Davis, Wright, Mejia, Stephenson 120 Glogouski, Langeloh, Hunt, Mendez 126 Mejia, Becker, Franklin, Stanbridge 132 Rhodes, Doster, Gunsett, Luevano 138 Coy, Arney, Rasler, Brown 145 Laughlin, Eicher, Kerrn, Scott 152 McCormick, Levitz, Stugill, Dietrich 160 Garman, Busse, Perry, Potter 170 Gray, Baumgartner, Ritchie, Davis 182 Eli, Hankenson, Kohler, Ault 195 Maddox, Evans, Davis, Elliot 220 Ellis, Paz, Davis, Pier 285 Perkins, Shaw, Hodge, George
  21. Agreed... I think Timberman and Vaughn are 1-1 so far
  22. Your prediction skills are about as good as you poker game little Cuz! LOL
