  1. I think that Cole Warner from Tipton will just keep getting better and surprise some people next year at 285. He got a whole lot of experience this year as a sophomore.
  2. Well, for you haters out there, for whatever reason or another, let me know if you see Mr. Willis on the mat for Team State. If you would have seen his right hand twice the size of his left hand after the match, due to fluids from his shoulder injury, maybe you would have a different opinion. The boy that I have known for a long time couldn't even shake my hand. He could still give a loving hug with his left arm though.... To you private school haters out there.......What is wrong with a kid going to a private school? There is nothing wrong with Cathedral, Roncalli, Mater Dei or any other private school. I think that they are easy to hate because most of us can't afford to send our kids there. I believe that most people hate these schools because "They Recruit" kids.....Come on......Get real.....I would much rather have my kid going to a school that still cares....I haven't had the luxury to meet a bad McGinley, even though they beat my nephews butt, Ellis, Kiefer, Sims, Boots and the list goes on. I am not a Catholic and will never be one but I do know that they are still teaching morals and values in their schools... Just to let you know, the Tyler, that all of you that booed him on Saturday was told that he has to have surgery on his shoulder now, to prevent him from having further trouble with it. He is going to get a second opinion on it tomorrow. I am a big fan of Cameron Vlhose and his father Marty and have been for a long time. I am also a big fan of Tyler Willis and one of my best friends, Dave Willis (his father), It broke my heart to see what I seen. I so much wanted to see a great match and at the end, it would have brought tears to my eyes to see either one of them lose but when all that crap happened, I didn't want to be a fan anymore. I feel for both of these kids, Tyler didnt want to win that match, (you should have seen the tears that I seen...) and I know that Cameron didn't want it to end that way... It was so bad for both of them... Now, I am sure that Cameron will have a great future at Purdue and can't wait to see him there and who knows where Tyler will end up at....(his dad did wrestle and play football at Michigan State....(GAG) hope the boy goes to a real school like MICHIGAN... Let's end this thread for the sake of both of these kids so they can both get on with their lives....
  3. Mooresville has 2....Wooding at 215 and Hacker at 189.
  4. No disrespect to any coach out there. I feel that you are all great people that are devoted to the kids and the sport.....I am just wondering how Steve Pugliese from Danville, Spence Spencer from Pike, Aaron Moss from Ben Davis and Scott VanDerAa were overlooked? They all have done so much to bring back their school's programs to a top level in short periods of time. You guys are my picks this year. Like I said, all of you coaches are great and I respect each and every one of you...My hat is off to all of you. Good luck in the future and keep up the great work and remember to tell your wife that you love her more.....
  5. I think that Vlahose and Fudurich could pull off a couple of win's at 160...Willis and Quiroz will be a rematch from Middle School State. First time that I have ever seen Tyler close to his back.......but fought off of it and won.....All of them are very, very good kids and wrestlers....What a great weekend....
  6. I like to think that Blaine Hall and Matt Milton could turn some heads along with Ryan Kolb at 160
  7. I think that someone will have to make it through Mr. Willis and Mr. Kolb before they get too excited here.....Good luck to all of you kids...
  8. Cathedral got 5 through New Castle got 4 through. Warren Central got 4 through. Perry Meridian got 4 through. Lawrence North got 4 through. Hamilton Southeastern got 4 through. Carmel got 3 through. Pike got 2 through. Connersville got 2 through. Anderson Highland got 2 through. Union County got 2 through. Ben Davis got 1 through. Greenfield Central got 1 through. And several more.
  9. Evansville SS 103 - VanHook (2) 112 - Wedding (2) 119 - Griesemer (2) 125 - Judy (3) 130 - Schofield (1) 135 - Barlow (1) 140 - PJ Montgomery (3) 145 - Sims (2) 152 - Marshall (2) 160 - Fudurich (2) 171 - Boots (3) 189 - Sandwith (3) 215 - Knight (2) 285 - Wimpleberg (3)
  10. Where has poptart125 been? Miss your picks.....
  11. 160 in my opinion. Lots of tuff underclassmen that can change a lot of minds.... 152 with Bennett, Richie and Welch?????? It is going to be fun. Just wish they had a 25lb. class for my grandson....
  12. 103 Hall, Schoettle, Shepherd, Schroeder 112 Kuhn, Montgomery, Kief, Boomsma 119 Moody, Malloy, Reiker, Edwards 125 Raley, Judy, Sulawski, Hoehn 130 Schofield, Martin, Mircale, Heald 135 Rueger, Rassbach, Barlow, Weekly 140 Montgomery, Hall, Milton, Rickman 145 Welch, Sims, Moberly, Waddell 152 Richey, Welch, Parrish, Mappes 160 Reece, Kolb, Fudurich, Terrell 171 Stein, Brandt, Weiss, Boots 189 Rosebrock, Hill, Hacker, Price 215 Froehlich, Wooding, VanDeventer, Collet 285 Vandeman, Hurst, Daugherty, Caum
  13. Wow....Haven't heard anything from poptart125....Where did you go????????.... That Rassbach / VanHorn was a good match.... Milton/Hall was too... Reese and Kolb was just about the best match of the day other then the the Rassbach/VanHorn match...
  14. Good job Cole Warner. Keep up the hard work
  15. 215- Wooding from Mooresville Wrestling, football
  16. Congrats Perry. What a great team performance tonight. I do want to say that there was a kid from Avon that has been thrown into the mix at heavyweight this year that wrestled at 215 tonight.... His name is Brian Snyder. He wrestled at 215 tonight against Perry's Logan Cooper and lost 7-4..... Brian, listen to your coach and wrestle this summer and you will become a force along with Pirtle for Avon for the next couple of years. It is refreashing to see a kid like you coming up and doing well. Keep up the good work....
  17. Cheaney Dale this year. What a bummer for him. Not sure it was an injury but never the less it is heartbreaking. Gino Gillum at Cathedral. Then I would have to say Mike Hawkins of Mooresville in 1978.
  18. Just at Mooresville Regional..... 103 Arnold vs. Pettijohn 112 Mocherman vs. Swigert 130 Acosta vs. Wilson 135 Oaks vs. Hays 145 Helterbrand vs. Dickinson........Haak vs. Hays 160 Blackburn vs. Gibson 285 Snyder vs. Stevenson and Ginter vs. Suter
  19. That was good of you Poptart125. Even though we may be from different Regionals, though I am from Mooresville via Ann Arbor (Go Blue) Michigan, everybody deserves a second chance. That was noble of you to list a public apology on here. Good for you dude.
  20. Is someone down south trying to keep Boots of Mater Dei off of the radar?
  21. Correct it is a judgment call. The rulebook defines a slam as lifting and returning your opponent to the mat with unnecessary force. P-town, When you take your opponent off the mat, you are responsible for his safe return. While you may not agree with the call it was the right call. Thanks Y2
