    I always have to mention my good friend, Eric Douglas from Valpo HS. 2-time State Runner-up HS Senior national Runner-up NCAA Div 1 AA Purdue University Freestyle AA I always joke with him, saying he could never win the big one!! ;D ;D Coach Weimer

    Man, Can't wait to get out of school and head to Madison!!! Big 10's are going to be sick this year!!! Out of the the 6 returning National Champions, only 2 are pre-seeded number 1!!! The others are pre-seeded at 2, 2, 4, & 5!!! The depth of the Big 10 this year is crazy, if you have a pulse and love this sport, you should get to Madison!! Obviously I am rooting for the Gold & Black. Hope to see all the boilermaker wrestlers compete well, especially excited to watch Cashe and Nelsen, I hope both punch their tickets the Big SHOW!! Good luck to all wrestlers and safe travels to everyone from this board heading up there. Coach Weimer

    Congrats to Coach Brian Foxworthy, or as the old timers call him "YODA." You have had a great impact on many wrestlers through out the state and most important the ones who came through the Floyd Central Wrestling Program. I have always looked up to you as a coach, mentor, and technician dating back to my days as a Highlander wrestler. Congratulations on such a great honor. Coach Weimer

    With all the school closings & delays, the date was bumped back 2 Friday of this week, to give everyone involved a few more days 2 compile all the votes. That's what was sent in an e-mail to the voting committee. Coach Weimer

    I agree Y2, and I feel that we need to seed up to 6 in 3A, rather than just 4 like last year. When you have teams that are that close, I think it imperative to seed 6. I feel to keep this event growing we owe it to the schools competing and the fans who will be in attendance to put out the best product possible, and seeding 6 will give us the best option to do that.     I think a great topic that should be discussed this Sunday, is the Seeding of the 3A teams for the upcoming IHSWCA Team State. I know the protocol last year was to Seed the top 4 from each class and blind draw the other 4. I really feel with the depth of the 3A Teams, There should be more than 4 teams seeded. Wanted to get this out there b4 the upcoming IHSWCA coaches meeting. Coach Weimer

    College riding time is not good for HS wrestling. We need to develope Indiana HS wrestlers n 3 ways....1 how to physically dominate anyone n the country on r feet, 2 mentally & Physically dominat them on top when we want to,& 3 know that we can escape from any1 n the country!!!! No HS elite level tournament needs riding time, it takes away from the core develovment of an elite wrestler. If we as HS coaches do r job in those 3 vital aspects n r sport, Indiana wrestlers will do just fine adjusting to college riding time. Coach Weimer Y2....college out of bounds...DO IT!!!!!!!

    Y2, You started this tourney for our state showcase some of the best talent around & it has grown tremdiously & it's attracting some of the best talent in the country!!! Implementing the college out of bounds rule will now bring the next factor n growing a elite tournament "college coaches"!!!!! That why we do what we do, get kids to the next level in this sport & that is great transition all HS elite wrestlers need 2 be exposed 2 earlier in their career!! Go for it!!! Coach Weimer

    I have 2 say that central regionals was tough as NAILS today n the freestyle portion!!!!!! There were studs from all over the neighboring states!!!! I wish more of our Indiana wrestlers would have taken advantage of such an awesome opportunity 2 wrestle against some of the best wrestlers n the country!!! I know my boys Blake & Brody were beat just watching all of the studs there!!!! Tough tournament!!!! Coach Weimer

    Yea, in my opinion, Warren Central has to mentioned in the mix of one of the toughest teams next year. Coach Williams, Carley, and the rest of the staff have done a great job with that program. They are very tough and have a great group coming back next year. Coach Weimer

Ur as dirty as the IOC, when it comes 2 stacking ur team or coming up w some crazy rule that only u know about!!! Great times!!!! Grecoref, i must say u r the standard when it comes 2 sculpting a normal body into a greek god like physique. I am waiting 2 purchase a workout tape on USA wrestling website!!!     Charger 1, I remember starting that RTC 6 years ago with Coach Williams and coach Douglas at LN, very happy to see the elite guys still going there. Don't worry, we will be there next Thursday, and no, we are not scared. Better watch what you wish for!!!! Ha Ha, I luv it!!! Can't wait to see everyone at Perry on Sunday, Shamrocks will be there.     Words can't express how proud I am of Branden Nelson, aka Super Baby, The professor, & Mr. Sat. night special!!! Most people don't know this, but he is the only 4-time State placer in the history of LN. Pretty crazy with their rich wrestling tradition. He deserves everything that he has accomplished and will accomplish in this sport. It is also something special to see Cashe and Branden wrestle side by side at the university Coach Williams, Douglas, and myself attended . I love that Branden is now the bigger of the two, as it was the opposite in HS. We love taking our boys up to watch those two and the rest of their boilermakers teammates, who most have spent their entire HS careers on national teams together. Coach Weimer

    I think you are looking into this a little to much. If your top 8, you get an IHSAA State Place winner medal, which means you are an "All-state" athlete in wrestling. The IHSWCA has a banquet the day after Individual state and all the "State Champions" in each weight class are invited to be recognized as well as the Hall of Fame inductees, and the top 3 teams who placed in the IHSWCA team competition, which is gone now. There is also Academic All-state which is given out by the IHSWCA, by grade level, I don't know the requirements for that. Hope this helps. Coach Weimer
