  1. They are actually the same if you think about it or at least start at the same time and then branch off, the Sectional Champion fo the Team portion is determined by the Individual Sectional. Now if they completely seperated the Team and Individual, I would agree that they are seperate tournaments. Kudos to Vlink for manning up and taking it on the chin for the mistake.
  2. Funny how some things can be worded so differently but basically say the something. I think the main reason RG is taking so much heat on this topic is becasue of who he called out. I have the same feelings that The Situation have about RG, I don't always agree with the "way" he words things but I do agree that he does not hold back, which I respect.
  3. Kid looks like the real deal. Hopefully he continues to improve as he moves up in age and does not plateau out.
  4. Looks like he was this year. It will be interesting watching him the next three years. Seems like Freshman 103 Champs sometimes struggle repeating as they grow a bit. Don't think there has been a four timer that has started his run of 4 @ 103 since Ellis accomplished this feat in the late 80's. He looked pretty confident out there this year in a deep weight class and sounded even more confident in his post finals interview! Good Luck on your 4 year mission Nathan.
  5. This is great for the most part, but you always get some knuckleheads that enter there 4 year wrestler into the beginners bracket to "boost" their confidence.
  6. If you ask me this is kinda of a double edge sword for us. We are complaining about this at the same time that the IHSAA says attendance is down. Seems to me like we are making a good case for them. Maybe they feel without it being broadcasted this will boost attendance, which from a business point of view is not a bad idea. This in turn can be a blessing in disguise for us seing that is the issue apperantly. To be perfectly honest, I think this is a moot point because it seems as if the IHSAA has already made their mind up. I do not think one year of us bolstering the attendance is going to get the job done. Good Luck to all participating Schools this weekend.
  7. Ahhhh the footsweep, always sparks my attention when I hear someone speaking of them.
  8. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family during this difficult time. Paul Maldonado
  9. Anyone remember tooz from the old board? I think this year lacked that one poster that everyone loved to hate. Wait I think RG is getting there!
  10. No problem, I just don't want to see someone get into an intelligent debate looking not too intelligent.
  11. My favorites has to be the Welch boys, but my answer of the night: Jerimiah Johnson To Chad : "Who wins a match between the two of you?" Chad's Response: " Me of course."
  12. I think you should add an option for a certain coach in the background doing a rendition of MC Hammer's side to side dance when a certain Heavyweight won the title!
  13. Broadcasting a replay right now I believe
  14. Some will argue that it is 1:30 secs wasted if you don't utilize the time. I believe they call it INJURY time for a reason, you are INJURED.
  15. I think they should burn it, seems jinxed to me. Correct me if I am wrong but I think last time they pulled those out there were some lost matches that followed.
  16. Understatement of the year! ;D
  17. I personally would like to see Jackson go wherever Tsirtsis goes. I don't think he can beat him, but I think if he does he would be remembered more for it if he actually prevented him for the 4th one then one of his own.
  18. Nice come back there SpartanDog, figured that would be your response! My hat's off to both wrestlers for some outstanding performances.
  19. Agreed, Ayersman definitely earned some more respect from me with that "Garciaesque" come back.
  20. How about scoring Stalling like Cautions with the difference being after one warning instead of two you start to lose a point everytime. No DQs. I think what everyone would like is just to have more consistency amongst Officials. I have seen some call it in the blink of an eye and I have seen some that I am pretty sure don't think the rule even exist. Let us keep in mind it is easy for us to come on here and criticize these Officials, but most of us have never officiated a HIGH SCOOL match before.
  21. That is impressive! Hoever, cmon SpartanDog, 4 FALLS before the Third Period in the State Finals. You would have to agree an even more impressive feat.
  22. I like Jason by slim margin at this point where they both were in their respective High School careers.
