    I heard that Bubba Jenkins won O.W. this past weekend. He went without there without a coach and without a school. He might have become the most sought after free agent after his performance this weekend.

    Madison had around 25-30 walk ins. That's 25-30 kids that wouldn't have gotten to wrestle with online registration or pre-reg only.

    Man Anderson was so dominate last night, so fluid, very Kalib Starnesish in his title defense. For as much as people want to blast GSP for his fighting style, Silva's last 3 title defenses have been lack luster at best. He has severly underproduced in fights with Leites, Cote, and now Maia. Spider is afraid to engage BJJ/ground fighters. GSP would have wiped the mat with Silva last night. Spider's only chance with GSP would be at 205, that's the only weight where Spider decides to show up for fights.

    MattM you took his post wrong, he's a mark for Spider. He's angry with GSP. Read between the lines. All of his posts have been disparaging of GSP and all praise Anderson.

    Anderson has also showed holes in his game. Henderson had a take down and controlled the first rd. Lutter took Silva down with ease, nasty elbows saved the Spider. Who's to say GSP can't score the TD's and control the match?

    Shields fight with Hendo is his last on his strikeforce contract. Dana has said he wants him, Shields has said he's ready to listen to outside offers. It's all but a done deal. Dana has even called out Strikeforce for possibly lowering Shields stock by having his last match with Hendo. I meant Daley, not Johnson. My bad. Why I think you have issues with GSP, or you're just trolling: "there is no reason to see a great champion like Georges torched by the Spider" "I don't know fellas, Hardy may be the King of the UFc welterweight division, come this time tomorrow night. " Nobody with an ounce of knowledge had Hardy beating GSP, fight was a joke, should have never went down. If ATT boys would get their heads out of their butts one of them would have gotten that fight. "If GSP moves up, he'll be the lower tier guy" "GSP wants absolutely nothing to do with the spider and that's quite clear. Palahres, why? Because he can't let go of a heel hook?

    Well obviously you have an issue with GSP. It's hard to give an honest anaylsis on dream fights. So in my opinion... He'd wax Wanderlai. It would be Tito vs Wanderlai part deux. Three rounds of lay and pray. Palahres and Sonen are B level MMA'ers at best, once again not even fights. Koscheck is a lot better at Takedowns than Sonen and we all seen what GSP did to him. Marquardt....hard to say, but GSP is just so good in all positions that I would have a hard time picking him over Rush. Once Jake Shields signs it will keep GSP busy for another year. Rumor right now is winner of Johnson and Kos will coach TUF vs. GSP. I would say put Shields in the TUF spot if he's signed in time. and do a blow off fight with KOS/Johnson vs GSP. Kos vs GSP II could be interesting, I think Kos wasn't ready for the Takedowns last time.

    There were Indianamat celebrity sightings at the Extreme Grappling Open Saturday in Greenwood. The Ancient Elder, as well as some Triple B guy were both in attendance. I have a feeling there were others, but I wasn't going to walk around and "out" myself to suspected board posters. Anybody else there?

    Pretty good stuff. Nice to Indiana pulling in a high ranking with qualifiers and AA's (top ten in both)

    One argument that keeps coming up is rules changes. How's this Indiana's fault? How is it USA Wrestling's fault? Most of the of rule changes (correct me if I'm woring grecoref) come from FILA and 5-15 year olds aren't thought of when these rules are put into place. FILA has a reputation for being a little political, most rule changes are done to take the match out of the refs' hands and into the wrestlers' hands. *Honest Question* Should USA Wrestling, or the ISWA ignore International rule changes and stick with a certain system? If so, how would this impact Team Indiana at Fargo? Or how would it impact Jr. World Teams? All I'm saying is don't blame the ISWA for a much larger problem.

    There's a ref rules clinic for Freestyle and Greco at Folkstyle state every year. Last year I think there were maybe 12 of us and this year even less with 4 of those being from Kentucky. It's ran by Mark Mundy and it covers all the basics plus rules changes. It has really helped me out as an official. Supposedly every club that is hosting a tournament must send a represenative.

    From what I can remember Davis always gets interviewed, mic'd, or has a camera on him during most matches on TV. That is nothing new.

    Sam Johsnon - former HWT at Madison is currently serving in the Army. Just finished up Basic in December.

    This scenario has been mentioned several times in the past. I think most people would compromise on this proposal however I believe the (I'm not a person in the know and this information could be inaccurrate or outdated) IHSAA has stated two things 1) If they ever class sports, all individual sports would be done so it would be golf, track, swimming, and so on. There would have to be a significant amount of class support across the board. 2) If wrestling ever were classed it would be both individual and team.

    Indiana wrestling is archaic because there's a choice being made between wrestling or spring break?

    Evansville is 2 to 3 hours from New Albany and Columbus. I would be interested too. Let's get this ball rolling. I like the rotating idea. We have access to a room all year long.

    I"m missing the point of this. Is somebody saying/implying that class wrestling would lock small school coaches in?
