  1. That is insane. Our governor has been anti-education ever since his buddy Dubbya was in office. Indiana is one of only three states in the country that has been labeled "hostile toward educators" by the national teachers union. Mitch has made it public he wants to disband teacher unions. Now he's got a "yes" man in Tony Bennett in the office of state superintendent, it's going to be like Palpatine and Vader trying to take over the galaxy. Don't insult people by laying the blame of our state education system in President Obama's lap. Our state didn't even re-apply for the Race to the Top national education grant b/c Bennett was pissed at the state teachers' union.
  2. I'm torn, longtime Rampage fan from the Pride days. But I enjoy Suga's personality and showmanship. I also gained a ton of respect for him on TUF. I hope Dan Miller chokes Bisping so hard his head pops off and fish and chips come spilling out.
  3. Also from Franklin County -BJ Scott - never won it, but I believe was 2nd as a Jr and 3rd as a Sr.
  4. So are you saying that getting on here and posting negative comments is the right way to do things? Pot:Kettle: Black.
  5. Columbus East Coach Chris Cooper's wife Jenn gave birth to their second son this morning. Cameron Parker Cooper was born at 3:25 this morning. Supposedly there was a matburn on the labor process. Both baby and mom are doing great! Best wishes and I hope Cam looks good in the Madison Cubs Shirt!!
  6. Right now a school doesn't have to sign off on a student, meaning that they have to sit for a year. Open Enrollment and that is gone.
  7. Accountability would be lost also. A student gets in trouble at one school and can't wrestle?? No problem, his parents will just transfer him somewhere else.
  8. Greg Warren was a guest on Bob and Tom today and the challenge of all challenges was laid down when none other than Donnie Baker called in and laid down a challenge to Mr. Warren. Wes Wesley was never brought up though
  9. Red Alert was in full effect this weekend!!
  10. I think the original question was local tournament selection dates?? It's in October, somewhere around Indy, last year it was L.N.
  11. I voted to keep the criteria the same 2 years ago and now I'm all for handpicked teams. An ISWA selection commitee can be put together with rep's from all the regions and the appropriate board members. I doubt that the Indiana Wrestling Community would allow obvious signs of abuse.
  12. Very inspiring story, thanks for sharing!
  13. I'll be sure to send them your way!
  14. I want to see Aldo's walkout video. Did he really come out to "Run This Town"? I bet Sac Town loved that! I also read an editorial asking for Faber to retire in the Sacramento Bee. Man, your hometown paper, ouch!!
  15. I see the two for blue also, she kind of hip whips her over. I would have scored it for blue, then red.
  16. Coaches are not allowed to have contact with wrestlers. "Dead" week starts the Monday of Disney.
  17. I made it all the way to the Bloomsburg coach and the "Holy S**t" remark before I had to shut it off. Seems classic, will have to check it out later.
  18. Is IndianaMat not allowed on the GridIron?
  19. Here's the Indiana High School Football Forum, I haven't looked around at other states but this seems top notch: http://gridirondigest.net/
  20. I had a hard time picking 20. The question asks to select the "20 Most Influential People in Indiana Wrestling Today." There lots of great coaches on the list and great former past contributers to the state, but have they had an impact on the state? If the poll was all-time, it would have been easy. But when looking at today, you have to look at the Cale Hoover's, Bobby Cox's, and Louis Rossbottom's. All head figures of some pretty important state organizations.
  21. A lot of the building projects also started to increase when the state started sucking money from schools. They (schools) started adding and planning for upgrades before the state came in and seized the cash. To me, this was really smart on the schools. I think regardless of the building projects or not, schools would be in the mess b/c MyManMitch would have taken the money regardless.
  22. Shields went 85 after wiping out 170.
  23. Madison cut many asst's. and all freshmen coaches. There might not be freshmen athletics next year at Madison at all.
  24. I think it is a big deal b/c MMA still isn't accepted as Mainstream. I'm sure that there are many CBS Execs today shaking their heads and saying "I always knew that they were thugs." I wouldn't be surprised to see some type of response from CBS. Though I doubt it happens, I wouldn't even be surprised to see CBS pull the plug.
