  1. I highly recommend this camp, unfortunately the USAW Schoolboy Duals is a conflict this year but if you have this time frame open, PLEASE attend this camp. One of the best wrestling camps you'll find for your wrestler! -Coach Tucker, Lowell Wrestling
  2. Having just finished a 4-year term on our Town Council, I can tell you this much Coach Peck...get ready for the ride of your life buddy!!! LOL, it's fun. Good luck!
  3. Micic @106 for HC. Fuqua @ 113 for CP. Buckley @113 for Valpo. Boston@113, James@120 for LN. Just my predictions, of course these could change...
  4. I 2nd that! Great job, Stevan! It appeared he was in the toughest pool with Kolodzik and Thorn and he battled both of them. Thorn was the Minnesota state champ as a freshman this year and his two older brothers wrestle for the Gophers. Koledzik is a stud as well. All three of those wrestlers (Thorn, Kolodzik, Micic) went 1st, 3rd, and 5th. Their pool was definitely the toughest.
  5. Yes, Marcus was a freak! The most underrated thing about him was his GRIP. His hand size and grip were incredible, he would get a hold of you and it was nearly impossible to escape. Bobby Howard was probably our best technical wrestler on that squad, he is currently our assistant coach at the varsity. That class was very good losing only once their 8th grade year ironically to the same kids they lost to in HS---Portage. We have a couple of similar classes coming up now, in fact, the resumes of these current youngsters coming up are incredible so hopefully we will be successful. Guys like Brown, Reed, Morache, Beck, Curtis, Rumisek, etc. helped win the coaches trophy that year at state. A great class of kids. Cam Brady is another wrestler in a long line of tough Lowell kids.
  6. LOL, can't take any credit, Cam has been a great person since he was a little tyke! His folks get the credit for that! He wrestled 3 years for me in middle school, enjoyed coaching him.
  7. Congratulations Cam!!! A great wrestler and an even better kid!!!
  8. RE: Texas Wrestling Brandon Slay is from Texas and they have had some tough kids coming up through the ranks for quite some time. I know that Nick Reenan won Folkstyle Nationals a couple of years ago and was on the Texas Middle School Duals team last year. Wrestling is fully sponsored through their high school athletic association at last check...Texas has 2 HS kids ranked in the nation according to Intermat's rankings. Allen HS is ranked #36 in the nation for teams. Ayersman's kid that he wrestled is the real deal and probably their best wrestler by far, Intermat has Nick Hermann ranked #17 and Ayersman is # 18.
  9. I wish Leroy the best! He has always worked very well with my son over the years and he's an excellent teacher/coach. Congrats!!!
  10. Off of State Road 2 (Commercial Ave), turn South on Nichols St. (Cline Ave.). The school is located on Cline Avenue however it is not identified as such off of State Road 2, it's identified as Nichols St. Also, the school is brand new, you will pass by a smaller school, Oak Hill Elementary, if you are coming from State Road 2. Keep traveling south and you'll see the new building on the West side. (Right hand side)
  11. I think it's safe to say that there are studs everywhere, rural and city. I do think that Indiana wrestling, overall, is becoming more and more competitive. My contention has always been that our top 1 or 2 wrestlers are as good as any other state. The issue is, the DEPTH. For every stud we have, states like Illinois, Ohio, and Pennsylvania have 3. Some of it is a simple numbers game. When Indiana has approximately 7K wrestlers compared to 14K in Illinois, etc. it's a case of more wrestlers available in order to reach high levels. At any rate, I like what I see here in Indiana...that would be ALL 4 Semi-States! LOL.
  12. JK=Just Kidding. Not touchy...no worries.
  13. Congrats Jason! BTW, he wrestles out of RWA (Region Wrestling Academy), way to represent!!!!
  14. How many champs did M'ville SS have last year? This year? Hmm? How many champs from the other 3 SS's? (LOL----JK with ya, Y2)
  15. FYI: Schoolboys: Drew Hughes, Jose Champagne are in the semi's...and Ben Stewart has medaled (I believe), and CJ Red is in the sem's...they will finish tomorrow. I am sure there are many more IN kids doing well.
  16. Drew Hughes and Jose Champagne in the semi's... CJ Red in the semi's... Ben Stewart has assured himself a medal, I believe? Keep it up Indiana wrestlers!
  17. Couldn't make it out there this year...but Indiana is doing very well so far. Just read where Chris Lynch is coming home with 9 All-Americans in the Cadet/Jr division and the younger ones are going at it now. I see that CJ Red had a rematch of the Tulsa Nationals final vs. Austin Gomez from Illinois. CJ pinned him! Nice job, stud! Good luck to all of the Indiana wrestlers out in Cedar Falls! Our Lowell boys are doing good so far! --Coach Tucker, Lowell Wrestling
  18. Congrats Brock! We have known Brock and the family since he was a little tyke, the years are flying by! --Coach Tucker, Lowell Wrestling
  19. Tucker beat both AJ Jaffe from Illinois Gold and David Kasper from Illinois Silver, each by 3-4 pts, if I remember correctly? I think CJ wrestled Robertson (sp?) but not sure? Whoever it was, a good match but CJ controlled it. (vs. Illinois Gold) Rundell won the match, a very competitive bout, could have went either way.
  20. Congrats Brock! We have known Brock and the family since he was a little tyke, the years are flying by! --Coach Tucker, Lowell Wrestling
  21. I believe Nick Lee went 4-3 for the Gold team? Gotta chance to watch him all weekend, a total stud, indeed!!! I think Nick wrestled M. Rundell from Illinoios gold, if I remember correctly, it was a 1pt match?
  22. UCdad, An informative post without whining and a genuine effort to help. Thank you. I am sure the ISWA appreciates this type of communication as opposed to a post titled "5 Hours Between Matches Is Okay For ISWA".
