Also makes you wish our 7/8th graders could compete in our IHSAA State tournament like MN.  Imagine B Lee, N Lee, J Lee, C. Red, J Mendez, etc being allowed as 7/8th graders to compete in 106 or 113 as middle schoolers.  This years Incoming 6th graders have a some very accomplished Natl youth wrestlers.  Dickman, Harden, Reynolds, Stanley, Rioux, Hawkins, etc...they have won multiple titles against older competition.  Would be great to see them compete at an early age.  Just like it would have been for the great wrestlers before them.  MS stste this year could possibly see the most 6th grade champs ever?  Would be a great stat to see.  

While I don’t agree with every call, I didn’t see any bias. Cathedral won by like 50 points so I doubt there was a bias against them.

Joe no intentions...  Was just giving Evan props.  Jokingly talking about the rankings.  I think Evan is better than some of those above him.  No disrespect intended to you or anyone else kid on that list, but I think Evan is better than 16.  You factor in it he might be the most respectable kid I've been around and i'm putting him #1.

Hi there. I am Dillon’s dad. Bryce is a tough kid. He actually injury defaulted Dillon out of ISWA state when they were 2nd yr novices. Dillon ended up placing 8th, And Bryce placed 5th, I think.  That was the first time Dillon placed there. 
 
You registered on this website 6 hrs ago and immediately posted in this thread about this match.   That is interesting to me. 
 
But yes, the score was 5-1 at Huntington.  Like I said, Bryce is a tough kid.

Saying rankings don’t mean anything is absolutely false. I can speak from experience. As soon as my son hit some national rankings. His phone, instagram, snap, and whatever else blew up with college coaches contacting him. Elite travel teams look at our state rankings to recruit guys. That leads to national exposure against the best kids. I bet it was the same experience for every other nationally ranked kid over the last several years. 
 
With that said.... don’t try to fly under the radar. Let people know who the kids are. Promote, promote promote. I know you all got sick of all the Avon Youngunz stuff. With that said, 8 kids that were on those teams are wrestling in college. Keeping them relevant and ranked as high as possible put them on radars. 
 
I love what the young Crown Point program is doing. I bet most of us know their starting line up. Their fans are pumped and are promoting the hell out of their kids. Keep it up Crown Point!!!
