Man!!! Illinois is deep with Cadet studs. 
How bout this idea... the ISWA gets with the folks in Illinois and propose some sort of state vs state cross over series. Couldn’t hurt to ask??? They get some fresh blood and we get to wrestle with the best a few more times.

Been working with Poe this summer and he's improved tremendously and got stronger.. great work ethic and kid.. indiana is represented by the best all around kids and I'm proud of all our wrestlers and coaches! 

Asa is now 15th at 132 (flo rankings)
Carson Brewer is 12th at 182 (flo rankings) and is doing freestyle only.

Flo released their freshman rankings and IN has 3 in the top 50 and 2 in the top 10
Andrew Donahue - 3 says Culver Military, never heard of him before. Where’d he come from?
Jesse Mendez - 6

Bottom line is that we have great depth (again). All of the guys mentioned here that didn't get into the preseason rankings are capable of getting wins over top guys in the country.

Yep.. was hoping to see my guy (Carson Brewer) ranked. He has wins over #3 (at super 32) and #12 at 182 (since the end of the high school season). But he lost a dec to #9. It is what it is. Just gonna have to go to Fargo and do work.
Well deserved for our ranked guys!!! Looking forward to more Indiana kids making this list soon!!!

100% agree regarding all 3 wrestlers you mentioned. A couple others that stuck out to me were Calhoun given his success at NHSCA.....and of course Brewer with the strong performance at Flo Nats.  Viduya is probably 1 strong showing at Fargo away as well.

Brayden took time off this summer to grow a little for college and well be a kid. Still been training hard and will be getting started back up starting this weekend at Disney.

Congratulations young men!  I fully anticipate a few other Indiana studs who are undoubtedly on the cusp, if not arguably excluded from the list......to join these worthy gentlemen in due time.

Silas won back 2 back Trips and would have likely coasted through Cadet again this year (no disrespect to other Cadet 195’s).  The gameplan was to wrestle Junior 195 for better matches and preparation for a heftier Triple Crown of the National variety.
 But even with the USAW National Folkstyle Stop Sign on the mantle.......I figured I’d break the bad news.  Silas didn’t compete over the weekend due to a slight tear in his meniscus.  Surgery is needed and he’ll be out 6-8 weeks post-op.  That unfortunately is going to make the OTC Training Camp and Fargo not possible for him. Discouraging......yes, very.  But.....thankfully just a bump in the road. Could’ve been much worse.  Prayers for a quick recovery is genuinely appreciated.
In the meantime......he’ll be getting healthy, hitting the iron pile hard on his upper body......and mentally beginning to set his sights on IHPO and Super 32.  Congratulations to all the Champs this weekend.  Keep the momentum rolling fellas and go pound some outta towners at Cadet/Junior Duals and especially Fargo!!!  The Allred’s will be with you in Spirit!
