    The really funny thing is Illinois feels the same about Indiana wrestling vs their champs, but from what I saw this weekend the Indiana boys would hold their own.

    I tend to disagree Bailey pulls it out in OT. MD kid was much fresher and was really attacking the legs well at the end of the match.

    There has been allot of chatter as to the validity of Mater Dei's team 3A coaches title. I posed the question to a friend of mine that if the Region formed an all-star super team would they have been able to take home this year's coaches trophy. His thoughts were that the match would come down to 7 wins for each team and be decided on bonus points or criteria. Where do you define the region? Everything south of 30 and east of Hobart or do you stretch it and let Portage in. What would be the region's all star team? Any thoughts on scores? This is serious now...It's the mutants vs the southerners

    Anything is doable...Illinois doesn't seem to have a problem getting three individual classes with full wrestle backs in two days.

    I currently live in the Lincoln Park area, but when I lived in Chesterton I never considered anything east of Hobart or south of 30 part of the Region. No disrespect to Lowell but you guys are way to far south to be considered Regoin Rats.

    I don't think we consider all people from Indiana Hill Billy's....We will give Da Region Mill Rat's the respect they deserve. I would say South of 30 to Lowell would be considered the Billy's. I consider Da Region...Whiting, Hammond, Highland, Munster, Griffith, Gary, Hobart, and Merrillville.....

    Allot of it just comes down to numbers.....Chicagoland has far more top notch wrestling clubs than the big Indiana Cities. It is tough to be the best factory of basketball talent in the midwest and then also produce the best wrestling talent. With that said Indiana Wrestling has come a long way in the last 25 years.

    Lets not use the facts to bust on the Wildcat...if you want to argue it was not a tough collection of high school wrestlers...well you have no leg to stand on...If you want to use a down year to kick the Mater Dei program then take your shot while you have the chance. I am no rookie to this site. I was here 15 years ago when Rex started the site. Oh how the MD fans forget how they rubbed the rest of the state in their program, oh how they forget how their casual fans who had never laced up a shoe or performed one spin drill in their lives bragged and bashed the rest of the state. Word on the street is your feeder program is stocked and ready to make another run. Give the haters a break for a year....It's not like you were winning state every year until the team state was started. OH...here is one rediculious fact...The MD Wildcast were unmatched as a team in Southern Indiana this year, but you finished behind or tied with every team who compeated in this years state tournment.....Just another reason that team scoring is a joke.
