Reitz went 103 and Holmes was at 113 during the High School season. I am not sure if that is an upset because of the weight difference. But yeah a state champ did lose in a close match. That is why I like these tournaments. -
Wow, I am very excited to see this matchup. This might be a homer pick, but I gotta give it to Tsirtsis in a close one. I just think the physical maturity level of a 20 year old will be too much to handle for a 17-year-old.

Is there a weight by weight breakdown of the Indiana kids? I am lazy and dont want to look at every weight's bracket and look for names I recongnize. ;D Thanks!

Was it a random draw to start at 174? I would have enjoyed this match to be last, because I think this will be the best match of the night.

Anyone care to predict the Tsirtsis vs Houdashelt match? Tsirtsis usually keeps it close, so this should be a pretty exciting match. However, I am no expert on the college level, so I would like to hear some of your opinions. If you want to chime in on the Howe or Chalfant matches as well... go at it!

I was also surprised to see Tsirtsis at 5. I was thinking a 3 seed, would suit him well.

I know it is a ways away, but approximately when do the coaches vote for the final two spots? When can teams decide to decline etc. I only ask, because do teams just leave those dates open until they find out if they are invited or not? THanks guys!

Who will be the top Region team in 2015

I have to say Merrillville. Covaciu Streck Johnson De LaPena and Scott Should help anchor that team. I also have no clue who they have coming in or filling roster spots, but they usually add more talent. -
I agree. I saw him at Semi-State as well. Rentas was funky on top throughout.

I think this would make for a good poll. 2 class individual system or keep it as 1. Personally, I like to find out who the true number one is on Saturday, but I understand the opposition. Just a differing of opinions.

More impressive freshman campaign, Lee or J. Tsirtsis?

I did notice many of the kids who lost with a dejected look on their face, but it is because they just lost. Many of the third place finishers had smiles because they won their last match and had more time to blow off some steam from losing in the semi's. Also great post Maligned. -

+1 I agree. I hope we do find out next year. I think that match will live up to the hype more so than the Micic vs Lee match.

Yeah - you are right then. I believe mine was pretty close to that time, but could have been a little after that. I thought I read before first whistle, but I could have been mistaken. Thanks again for all your work you put in throughout the season. PJ Pedroza

I submitted my state finals picks during the Walk of Champions and I am being marked late. Oh well, wouldnt gave gotten first any way. LOL Thanks for putting this together - it is always a fun little competition! ;D
