Let’s say your kid wasn’t a wrestler, would you have made the move? This was the same stuff that was said when they were trying to get my brother to Mishawaka. Not judgemental, I’ve just heard this song before. That’s what’s funny to me.
Not sure why this matters to you. He moved his family 150 or more miles away to a better opportunity for him and his family. Not across town to Mater Dei or Memorial or Castle. Hard to argue that he isn't going to a better school and that his dad didn't get a better job. And maybe it was partially for a better wrestling opportunity too. Can you blame him? Maybe KT gets a scholarship to wrestle in college that he never would have gotten had he stayed at the same school in Evansville. Think about that. That move could change the kids life. Good for him for having the guts to go.

Is there a certain level of skill that is being searched for?
In the All-Star division at Disney, you better be good or it will be a long long tournament.

Remember his math/reasoning has already been called into question. This is evidence as to why.

690 would be the cut-off for splitting the schools in half based on enrollment. There are 154 schools with 690+ and 154 with less than 690 students.
Transferring is out of control right now...so who knows what would happen.
I agree the transferring is crazy. This could have an impact on where kids are transferring to though. Maybe kids wouldn't be as inclined to transfer to the larger schools and instead choose a smaller school for their shot. Maybe it wouldn't have an impact at all, but to me it's interesting to think about.

Everyone knows we should have two classes, no more, no less.
What is the cutoff? 1000 students? If we were to go to two classes, would anyone foresee wrestlers transferring to smaller schools to win an individual state title?

I'm not sure how anyone sees, from the picture posted above, that his left side wasn't down. Could the ref have taken a little better look? Probably. Was he pinned? I believe the picture shows he was.

Evansville had the most champs, the most finalists & the most overall placers. Additionally, 4 of the top 5 team scores were from Evansville (Avon, BB, MD & CE), which is no coincidence as to why they lead the individual categories.
Probably not a surprise to anyone.

The talent and competition at the South qualifier seemed to be up from last year. I believe the numbers were as well. Glad to see the event doing well.

Oh I agree with the Hendricks County garbage. I guess we will know which semi-state was the toughest on the 16th.

New Castle has 20% more wrestlers ranked in the Top 5 & 40% more teams ranked in the Top 20. Personally I would call them damn near a draw in toughness to advance, but I guess using #'s for factual reasoning is an error of mine.
Ah sarcasm. We've each used numbers to reach a conclusion. I guess we've just interpreted them differently. New Castle has always been one of the top 2 semi states and is again this year. I just happen to think Evansville is a little better this year because of the #'s I used. Feel free to continue using #'s in your reasoning, but remember these are all opinions and not "factual".

8 #1's in one semi state with 82 ranked wrestlers and 3 of the top 4 in the power poll. No, not too tough

Of coarse you didn’t, why wouldn’t I pick them ? Might be because the second toughest schedule in the State. They wrestled in the toughest Sectional, Regional. They seen the best for the past 3 months, my kids go there, they been tested right .
Must be upset I only picked a few of EMD wrestlers to make it. I’d say something to . Go ahead make your own picks homer.

wow you are toxic, it is just an opinion
Not sure what you mean by toxic, but true not to see everything through those blue and silver goggles.
I’ll admit it when Perry is better than MD but to use the “big move” logic or “big in dual meets” logic is crap. These are two top 5 teams. At certain points in their wrestling lives they’ve all hit big moves or come up big for their teams. To say one team will and the other won’t is unrealistic

A few changes...
106: This one is right (4-0 PM)
113: Haggerty is not getting pinned but it will be a major or Tech Fall (4-4)
120: This one is right (9-4 EMD)
126: This one is right (13-4 EMD)
132: This one is right (19-4 EMD)
138: This one is right (19-7 EMD)
145: No way Warren gets majored if he loses but I got my money on Warren (19-10 EMD)
152: This one is right (19-13 EMD)
160: Toss up, This one is right (19-16 EMD)
170: Another Toss up but Davis shows up in dual meets (19-19)
182: Clayton a big move guy so I think he gets the fall (25-19 PM)
195: This one is right (25-22 PM)
220: This one is right (32-22 PM)
285: Sam Jones comes up huge in dual meets besides the dual meet vs Cathedral last year, Jones by fall (38-22 PM)
Perry wins 38-22
So Perry gets a fall at 182 because Clayton is a "big move guy", but Mater Dei can't get a fall at 113, 120, 126 or 132? Also Perry seems to have two guys who "show up in dual meets". I guess the Mater Dei guys don't care about dual meets.
Seems like fair, unbiased reporting.
