Jeff Sectional vs Jennings Sectional

Recommended Posts

Just create a little interest.  Who the teams to beat in each sectional?  What individuals will win each weight class or even your top 4? Always fun to get different opinions. Let see them.

At Jennings County it looks on paper like it should be Columbus East or newcomer Franklin for the team title with Columbus North having an outside shot if everyone on the team can get healthy enough to be at their optimal weights.

Franklin, Indian Creek, and Salem bring some new blood and will add some real depth at a few weight classes.  Many of the 3rd placers and some 4th placers will be on spoiler watch in the opening round of the Jeffersonville Regional.

I will agree with the spoiler alert.

There will be some weights at regional that won't have a wrestler from the Jeff sectional moving on to semi state.  I believe that 157 is one of them.  Possibly 106, 126 and 144.

Does the Jeff sectional have any regional champs?

Jeff sectional needs realigned before they don’t get any semi-state qualifiers in the coming years.

This last realignment lost them Salem last years 4th place team that was on the younger side of things.  Jennings Co gained them along with Franklin and. Indian Creek.  Jeffersonville could use New Albany, Floyd Central, and/or Tell City back but that would weaken a different sectional in the process.

Yeah makes absolutely no sense on why Floyd and new Albany aren’t in that sectional.
