ontherise219
In the genius rating are the smaller schools at a bigger disadvantage in the Crown point because the bigger schools are so dominant that eliminates any opportunity for them to qualify. Does that increase their regional rating? I would assume this will be the ec semi state break down for the next 5 years Jstephenson1356 and DLuther

See what happened this year below. 1A and 2A schools from the CP regional that got officially classified are listed below. First numbers were their projected regional and semi-state qualifier totals if they were in a perfectly average tournament path, based on their team's Genius rating. Second numbers are the regional and semi-state qualifier totals they earned (including the 5th semi-state qualifier awarded at each weight because of the Category 5 designation): Boone Grove: 3.5/1 projected, 3/2 earned Glenn: 7/3 projected, 8/4 earned Knox: 4.5/1.5 projected, 5/3 earned Hanover Central: 5.5/2.5 projected, 6/2 earned New Prairie: 10/5.5 projected, 10/7 earned Hebron: 5.5/2 projected, 5/2 earned Illiana Christian: 1.5/0.5 projected, 1/1 earned Wheeler: 3.5/1 projected, 2/1 earned Total: 41/17 projected regional and semi-state qualifiers in a perfectly average sectional/regional path for this group of 8 schools. 40/22 were earned or awarded to this group based on their tourney performance Edited February 13, 2022 by maligned MUSKEEWRESTLER
formercollegekid
4 of the Jeffersonville regional state qualifiers are from Columbus East.... and with only 6 total statistically this would be the weakest Regional in the state Crown point regional has a monster team it. (Could be the best ever) along with some other well-known programs. If crown point ever dips then it will dip back down but not by much. Mooresville regional is also "no play thing" but instead of 1 monster team its 2.... with a bunch of well know programs. Although the rumor mill was spinning at Evansville saying Franklin Comunity is moving to Jeffersonville. Fort Wayne break down is interesting to me. Each regional "should get" 14 out. BEFORE upsets. . . So 6 Jay County regional kids out preformed. But looks like this was the most "balanced" semi state. New Castle was pretty close this year to balance as well. On the other hand.... That means Mooresville and Crown Point almost double the number of qualifiers they "should" have had. Will we ever see a state realignment? ? Feel like rumors have been going for the past 2 years (thanks covid). I hate seeing good kids sit at home. With no wrestle backs our draw system is definitely flawed. Wonder how we could ever get the ihsaa to understand that YES they are only worried about the champ.... but to the kids and communitys state qualifier or state placer REALLY mean something Awesome breakdown... hope we get one for state!!! Seems like they have no interest in evening things out around the state. Alex Skipper, swain358 and formercollegekid

Great stuff. more regional breakdowns would be interesting and appreciated. wrestling! formercollegekid
