Best first round matchups

106 Kamm Vangilder Charlestown v Kelsey Bilz Madison - both wrestlers hold a win over the other by fall this season.   Bilz with the big fall to advance. Was a fun one to watch.

138 Ben Kriete Seymour v Jalen Stephens Salem - the tough 2/3 matchup could prove perilous for the Lion wrestler  7-1 at the time of the fall for Stephens who left no doubt

152 Trenton Stockdale Madison v Marcus Martin Eastern Pekin - another 2/3 matchup features two tough seniors  Matchup did not happen as Musketeer was out with a concussion

220 Dylan Fulton Madison v Chase Straub Corydon Central - Fulton won the only matchup this season 8-4 but I am told it was a seesaw affair Fulton advanced with a 5-3 win but this matchup delivered on drama

Nice work, Fulton is a sleeper - Him and Gagnon went SV earlier in year and as you mentioned has a dub over CC.

Edit - read wrong, I thought it said Madison had 9 regional qualifiers. School record for SS qualifiers at Madison is 6, 9 would be phenomenal!

Semi-state qualifier wise it'll be closer than I what I initially thought... I got 33 from Jennings Sectional and 23 from Jeff Sectional. 11 champs from Jennings sectional and 3 champs from Jeffersonville sectional

Jeff sectional  Jennings Co.

26           Qualifiers     30

7              Champs       7

Pretty balanced and will be interesting to see who comes in next year

I think that’s the most balanced it has been since the last sectional realignment.  And that’s with Tell City jumping to a different sectional this year.  Jeffersonville Sectional had more than just their champs show up today.
