MUD
So once a kid gets contact traced and is quarantined for 14 days and misses bout 8-9 practices then us cleared to come back and has 2 practices before the next competition does that kid get to compete? Nate Spangle
I was under the impression it was 10 days of quarantine and then 5 days of practice. Not sure if anyone knows otherwise?
rookie78
6 missed scheduled practices = 4 practices back in to return to competition is what I was told. Kids have 10 days out, miss a couple events/weigh-in opportunities, more than likely 6 practices.........and now need to make 4 practices. I get it, but I don't. swain358

Y2CJ41
5-10 practices missed means they need 4 practices to complete. 11 or practices missed means they need 6 practices to complete. rookie78 and Jcjcjc
Mattyb
When looking at results, seems that there is a huge difference in the numbers of wrestlers being quarantined from team to team. Why is this? Is it possible that some schools are being overly cautious? Are some schools just doing a poor job keeping kids separated? What gives???? MUD
So even tho it’s contact tracing it’s a full 14 days or 10 days?

Matt Time
That's my experience too. At one dual this week, the AD was roaming the stands threatening to kick people out for wearing masks incorrectly and would insist on misting the mats after every match. At another, it ran like a normal dual with only slight modifications to seating, hand sanitizing and one quick wipe of the mats halfway through. At yet another, the AD walked into the coaches meeting and essentially told us that he disagreed with wrestling happening at all. Now imagine how differently each of these ADs might handle contact tracing. One will look for every excuse to sit a bunch of guys if they hear a sneeze at the other end of the gym. Others, will be more measured. Frustrating, yes. But what isn't these days? Mattyb

We have two events this weekend, one will allow 4 fans per athlete, the other ZERO! BrodyHardcastle
MUD
So get this there was a kid that we wrestled that got 4 other kids contact traced quarantined and 1 of those kids wrestled a week later! Seen it on the results list so maybe it was a typo but if not that’s not right. Everyone should follow same rules not. IHSAA should have the say so on the entire state not county to county rules and not follow rules counties.
