bigmak Posted December 29, 2013 Share Posted December 29, 2013 Not only did the unranked smith upset #4 Krumlauf for the title at Connersville, he beat #7 Justin Atkinson from Benton Central along the way. had they collected votes after the finals, im sure smith would have been voted most valuable wrestler. corsaro was voted as such but its because he was on another level than anyone else at his weight, easily putting away anyone in front of him. im not sure he even broke a sweat, including the finals. but smith had already made noise with his win over atkinson then he iced it with his finals victory over krumlauf. His record is 12-1 for the season, he had an injury early on and didn't wrestle in the first dual or two and missed Lowell due to being sick.
