1oldwrestler
You may want to consider his last name and what it can mean to a program as far as funding dollars are concerned. Money talks, my friend.
MattM
It is Penn State. Most saw a tough road for the Hoosiers in this one minus a few potential close match-ups that didn't fall their way. I'd put more of a concern with some earlier troubles they had (and may still have) against teams not in the top 15 in the nation. At the end of a college season if you have a few AA's most programs would call it a success. But I'd still put some emphasis on a solid all around dual program since a tough room helps attract legit recruits. Their is still several matches left in the season, but the Hoosiers don't have much time to waste if they want to prove to those looking from the outside they they are making improvements over last year. MattM
Take down stat maybe crazier than the score... PSU had 27 takedowns... IU had 1... (Chalfant had only TD) Ouch. Eastern Michigan is next and that should be a much easier match up for the Hoosiers. But then again that was also though with South Dakota St. and Northern Illinois earlier in the year. Let's hope they have made the necessary adjustments since those early issues. Then a tough month of Midlands, Minnesota, Ohio St., Wisconsin (who's starting to come to life as of recent), & Illinois. Hopefully they can pull it together and keep things somewhat competitive or that may feel like one long bad dream. Then if they can stay in one piece and still can find some motivation following that grind a slightly lighter (but not easy) stretch of Michigan, Purdue,Southern Illinois, and Northwestern right before Big 10s. Merlin189
He needs to focus on recruiting some of the Indiana boys. From memory he has 2 state champs on his team from Indiana one being his own flesh and blood. Others are quality wrestlers but if we cant recruit in our own state we will never compete. All the multi-state champs go elsewhere. Tshirts and Shresbury-Northwestern Cody Phillips- Minnesota Jared Brooks- Indiana tech(Would have been easy to get him if Justin was on the team) Devon Jackson, Ayersman, Welch Brothers,Eppert- Purdue
MattM
Jared Brooks- Indiana tech(Would have been easy to get him if Justin was on the team) Jared ended up at Notre Dame College. Justin did end up at tech though after departing from IU.
