What a great accomplishment!!  We all know how much dedication, sacrifice, and hard work wrestling takes -- to maintain such a high level of academic excellence while pursuing their wrestling career is incredible.

I would vote (can anyone at IHSAA make this happen) that all of these young men be allowed to have their own "March of Champions" at Conseco during the state finals.  These are TRUE student-athletes, the epitome of what any parent would like their young wrestler to be.

Just an observation. This seems like a long list. Is there a maximum number of first teamers? I was 1st team all-state academic in another sport and there were only 10 statewide!

You were certainly more awesome and it was much more difficult back when you were a first team academic all state recipient.  I bet you had to walk to and from school uphill both ways.

Get a life. I was just asking if this was a set list or if there were only a certain number of kids allowed to be on it.

Some may think otherwise but I do have a life.  Sorry if I misuderstood your post.  If all you were asking was "if this was a set list or if there were only a certain number of kids allowed to be on it" and you would have actually said that in your post then I wouldn't have given the smart $#@ response.  To me it sounded like you were griping about the number of kids on the list, that it was too large.  Apparently, I was wrong.

Congratulations! Being a student-athlete can be very challenging for some as the discipline and dedication level it takes to succeed in the classroom and on the mat isn't easy.  I personally had to "learn how to learn" when I was in school and tried to treat the classroom with the same competitiveness I used when wrestling.  It didn't necessarily crossover all the time but I made it work.  Congratulations again to these wrestlers!  Hopefully I can use this list to inspire my student-athletes to maximize their potential as well.  Best wishes and continued success in your future!
