pin2win1
Well I can tell you have may are left in the winners bracket among the top 7 teams. But they never posted the final round of the losers bracket on track wrestling... i was wondering if anyone could tell me if they only wrestled to 12 this year for some reason, of it the issue is that the results have not been posted? Wrestlers left in the Winners Bracket for the top 7 teams Mish 9 112,125,130,135,152,160,171,215,285 Mer 5 103,112,119,125,285 Penn 3 119,145,171 Bell 4 135,160,189,215 Jim 3 112,130,135 Gosh 3 140,189,285 EM 1 160 Wrestlers still left in losers bracket (there is still one round to go till placement) mish 5 [103,119,140,145,189] Mer 8 [130,135,140,145,160,171,189,215] Penn 9 [103,112,125,130,135,140,152,160,285] Bell 4 [119,130,152,285] Jim 4 [103,125,140,285] Gosh 4 [135,145,160,171] EM 8 [125,130,135,145,152,189,215,285]

oldman
It appears there is a big problem with today's brackets at the tournament. Many of the guys in the wrestle-backs did not wrestle who they were supposed to according to their bracket sheets. What was mentioned above regarding Witous was an attempt to change the brackets (hours after the fact) to how they ended up being wrestled vs. how they were supposed to be. Witous was supposed to wrestle Mish in the wrestle-back. Follow the bout sheets as they were posted and draw your own conclusion. I suggest you track your team. Witous/Penn is just one example of many. I know of at least 6 other wrestlers who did not wrestle who their bracket indicated they should have. Not going to question how it happened, just stating that it happened.
Y2CJ41
The bracket on TrackWrestling is not the official bracket. The one on TrackWrestling had a different consolation side than the official bracket.
pin2win1
Oops.... a slight oversight by the powers to be... Oh well, i believe this is the first year that the Al Smith Invitational has used track wrestling, so it is only fitting that there may be some bugs to work out. So, do you have any idea how long it will take to fix the brackets and to post the final round of consolations?
Y2CJ41
It will be done in the morning. When I set up the tournament I didn't realize the difference in consolation brackets in tournaments. I guess I figured they were all the same....but I guess not. If the team scoring isn't goofy enough, the brackets are just as goofy.
pin2win1
I know... here i thought you put the losers of the 2nd round championship bracket on the bottom, the losers of the 3rd round on the top, then the 4th round on the bottom. that way you keep wrestlers from wrestling 2 rounds after they had wrestled once before. Really, what other way is there
Y2CJ41
I learned a couple hours ago, there are ones where everyone just drops down(like it is now) or one where they cross bracket(like the bracket was). The cross bracket, if you are in the top half you drop down to the bottom half of the loser bracket.
pin2win1
Well, it looks likes these are the amount of wrestler left and eliminated from the 7 top schools according to Track Wrestling... looks like we have a 2 team race. pin2win1
I must say i am surprised at the way this played out.. I mean there were legiimately 7 teams vying for the top 3 spots, and probally 5 teams vying for the championship, after the first 2 Championship and first Consolation rounds were wrestled. I mean Penn had 10 wrestlers make it to the third round of the Championship bracket and now only has a total of 6 wrestlers left. Similar stories could be said for all the teams 3rd through 7th. I guess what I learned is that the 3rd round in the championship bracket and the 3rd and 4th round in the consolation, really seperate the pretenders from the contenders as far as the championship goes. pin2win1
Rattgyver. I just used the top seven teams from the team scores listed on track wrestling, and then the brackets from broadcast to figure out how many each of the top 7 teams had

former130
it looks to me like all the weights are seeded fairly accurately with the exception of 135.. I think Guerra is the clear cut 1 seed and he is seeded 3rd, and I think Rattay is the 2nd best kid and he is seeded 6th. looks like all those in attendance on the first day will get to see the 135 final in the quarters.. Not hardly!
