base
What Indiana high school or middle school wrestling coaches have been going at it the longest? Anyone know which coach holds the all-time record (years) of coaching longevity?

Scardy94
I believe Coach Kenny Houston coached at Twin Lakes for 32 years. Give or take a year.
LittleGiant91
I'm not sure how long Clarence Warthan from Frankfort has been coaching, but he has been at it for at least 30 years and probably 35+. I know he coached a few years at Greenwood before going to Frankfort. Great coach and person! Any Hot Dog fans out there know exactly how long Coach Warthan has been at it? AC Computer
Barry Humble, New Haven, has been coaching since the 1970-1971 season at Adams Central, FW South, and New Haven. That would make this his 39th season by my figuring.
tskin
Phil Clipp at Corydon started the program in the 60's and T. Howard jones at jennings has been there forever.
pm1981
Coach Chauncey McDaniels coached state titles in the 50's for Southport and was around to coach Tonte in the 80's.

funk
I believe the head coach of east noble high school has been with the program since he received his teaching license. I beleive that would be 78 or 79. I will confirm tomorrow at semi-state.
electricwrestler
Coach Al Ihnat has been coaching in Anderson at Southside Middle School, Anderson High School, and his current position at Northside Middle School for 41 years.
Oldzebra
Coach Goebel at MD is still coaching. I am sure that he was spotted at the Evansville Semi-State...in the corner and still coaching the Wildcats....and the officials from time to time! Wrestling Mole
A few of note.... I believe Coach Vlink has been at Crown Point since the 1980 season. Coach Goebel took over at Mater Dei in the early 80's, and prior to that he was the head coach at Castle. Although he still makes an appearance for MD at tournament time, his jobs as head football coach, teacher, and Evansville city councilman keep him too busy to be there on a regular basis. Jim Wadkins has been at Calumet HS as a wrestler and/or coach since about 1976. Richard Clipp has been at Corydon Central since the late 60's. Kudos to these fine dedicated men. I'm sure the sport has changed tremendously since their tenures began.
