At NC SS the following should be much anticipated 1st round matches.*** A disclaimer ***, after the 140 weight class I get a little fuzzy on the kids involved, and the match ups are based on records mostly. Also this is not intended to say that these are the only matches that are highly anticipated, just the ones I will be intently looking to see for a variety of reasons. From either a personal, or a quality of wrestling reason.

Clark So. De. vs Logan HH great first round match Logan might be the best 4th in the state... could go either way

130

Fellers NC vs Dicket Ron. Fellers by a couple of points

Beattie WeBo vs Stringfield Cath. could be a good match... I haven't seen Beattie wrestle

Franklin LC vs. Morris Car. good match with Franklin winning

Odom WC vs Hoegeman EC Odom won this match up pretty easy last year... it'll be a better match but in Odoms favor

bbulldog152, The reason why I did not select the Flodder Corsaro match is I know next to nothing about Flodder. I have not seen him wrestle at all. At 140 Butts and Decker wrestled at the county meet with Butts securing an escape very late to win. That should be a great match.

The second round is where things are going to get interesting at NC, we have some great potential match ups there.

I agree about the second round...

I'm not going to say that Flodder will win but he's got a chance... only 3 of his 11 losses are at 135 the rest are against 140's and a 145

against 140

Wodija Brown County 3-2

Armad(sp) Jennings Co. 4-2 last secong reversal

Duccan Rushville 5-0

Carmel's 140 in OT

Farmer Bloomington South 4-2

Tony Mcginnley don't quite rember the score 12-3 or 5

Voegle Ev. Rhietz 6-1 i think I know Voegle hit a spladle at the end

Against 145

Presley EC 9-8 takedown with 10 sec. left

So odds are it'll be a close match... we'll just have to see which Jack Flodder comes out to wrestle at semi-state

I would say all of the first round matches are tough. Everyone is in tip top shape and ready to go. And you always have to watch out for that sleeper senior that is ready for his wrestling career to be over.

Andrew Goul

The seniors that have their backs against the wall ( or the mat ) for their last matches of their career can be the most difficult.

Imfeld and Moats went at it earlier this season and Imfeld had Moats on the ropes but Moats stuck him as time was running out. Moats is good but I wouldn't be surprised if he lost this one but you can bet your butt I'll be rooting for him. Go Kevin and Colin.free-happy-smileys-296.gif
