PurdueWrestling
I think if Rogers goes 140 he will do better. If not he will either get beat by leeka or uphaus. My prediction is that Leeka and Uphaus will be in the finals at 135. Uphaus has been wrestling tough all year. He won the spartan classic with ease. But he did recently have problems and was sick this weekend when he lost to the kid from union county that wrestled 135. Idk who it was. But I think uphaus will overcome that and beat him when it counts. that would be a sleeper step up surprise though!!!"tecpatriot" everyone loves an upset. SnatchSingle
Alright...so we are gettin' closer to the TEC. When is the seeding meeting? Is it possible to get brackets on here sometime after the meetings? So all of us fans can get a look at what is happening? I still think Union County wins the tourney this year, because they have a more tournament style team. I think over all Union County will have 4-5 Champs. Winchester will have 4 But I think that Union County will win on pts and second placers!
SnatchSingle
So are there any big matches between now and the TEC tourney? Or are all the matches done now?? When is the seeding meeting??
tecpatriot
Centerville at Winchester this Tuesday. Winchester has already beaten the Bulldogs once this year. Should be an interesting rematch right before conference.
SnatchSingle
I was late the last time and saw Winchester won, but didn't see a score. Was it close? Do you think it is going to be a close match? Is it worth going too?
tecpatriot
Here you go: TEC warm-up The Bulldogs won't wait a week to see Chalfant and the Falcons. They travel Tuesday to Winchester for a dual meet. The two teams already met once this season. Winchester won the Shenandoah Invitational on Nov. 29 with a 4-0 record. The Falcons topped Centerville 59-18 there. "That'll be kind of a measuring stick to see if we've grown at all or if we've stayed the same," said Centerville coach Mike Day. "I think we've grown a little bit. We'll see." This is from today's Richmond Palladium-Item sports section.
12ozCurl
I think Winchester wins the TEC with Union County crawling right behind them. I believe winchester will win 215 and HWT easily, and should win 189. Terhaar has a chance to make some noise, but i'm not 100% confident that he can win it. Winchester may pull another champion out somewhere, which gives them 3 for sure, with a possibility of 4-5... Winchester has a lot of quality wrestlers that should fill up the podium with a lot of 2-4th place finishers. Union County wins 103 and 171 for sure, and with their line-up it looks to me like they could win up to 4 weights, 5 if their 135 can pull off another huge upset. After these two teams, i don't think anyone else has the depth to pull it off, I belileve Tri will have some success, but not enough to contend with the other two. I believe centerville finished in 3rd or 4th, again depending on what tri does, but these two schools will be 3rd and 4th. After that anything can happen. Northeastern will have one champion with becker at 152, but other than that, it doesn't look good. Haven't heard anything about hagerstown this year, but i know in the past they have had some great individuals. Union City will put up some good matches, but just don't have the juice to really compete. Lincoln is another school i haven't heard a lot about or watched, so i can't comment, but i'm sure they will put some guys into the mix
SnatchSingle
So it sounds like it will be worth watching. Hopefully I'll be able to make it into Winchester tomorrow night. Winchester put it on them last time it looks like. I think Union County will win the TEC. I agree with some of your thoughts of winners, but I think Centerville and Union County will have a lot of 2,3, 4 place finishers. Winchester really has about 5 good wrestlers and that is it. Not enough to pull out an Individual Tourney.

SnatchSingle
Sounds like Centerville really gave Winchester a good match. Did Winchester not wrestle well or is Centerville finally up to par? Were there any fights, arguments, big reactions, big matches?? Can we get a copy of the brackets for the Seeding meeting? When is it?

12ozCurl
i don't consider 49-29 a close match, but in a tournament format things can change. After beating CV, Winchester has to be the favorite
Counting Lights
I'll agree with you 12 oz. If you consider the score, its not what anyone would consider a close match. But I was there and I can tell you that Centervilles 160 lost a match that was his to win. Also Centervilles 189, 103, and 112 had their opponents in nearfall at least once during their matches. I know, I know, "would've - should've - could've". Overall it was at least an exciting match to watch. I will also agree and say Winchester is the favored team to win the TEC. The consolation brackets will be the deciding factor in who wins the tourney. I think Winchester and Union Co. will both have four champions. It will be the supporting wrestlers that make the day. Good luck to all!

SnatchSingle
Wow, either Duckworth is a smart or the coaches. That is one way to ensure that Winchester doesn't win the title again. I thought Union County had a very good chance to begin with, but now it is a lock. Union County wins--by 20-25 points Winchester finishes second Centerville finishes third Tri finishes fourth Hagerstown finishes fifth Union City finishes sixth Lincoln finishes seventh Northeastern finishes eighth. Union County has 5 Champs Winchester has 4 Champs Centerville has 3 Champs Union City has 1 Champ Northeastern has 1 Champ What has happened to the TEC? Where are our kids. Looks like 2 teams have a full squad? OUCH.

Coach Peck
So...is Duckworth going 189 in the Sectional as well, or is he just going to weigh-in within around 2 1/2 pounds of 173 and wrestle 189?
