  1. Thanks username....I was going through the brackets pretty quickly. Will correct the mistake immediately.
  2. I think they are usually recognized immediately after the Parade of Champions, while all the wrestlers and coaches are assembled on the Fieldhouse floor. I do not know if the receipients are published prior to that time.
  3. I think it is because that is last year's list. Only Seniors were eligible. I believe this is the first year that the accolade will be available to Juniors.
  4. I see these as possible 4-over-1 matches. 125-Batt-Rieker 130-House-Hartman 152-Delaney-Yoder 215-Bass-Seaman
  5. The "ENTER AS OFTEN AS YOU LIKE" aspect really waters this contest down, for me. In fact, I have only ever put one entry in because I just read that rule. The contest is so straightforward, multiple entries seems superflous. I believe the champion would be held in much higher regard if it was a "give it your best shot," one-entry affair. Plus, it would decrease your calculation workload significantly. I enjoy participating in it each year, and appreciate your effort in putting it on.
  6. I think he's a champ (and acted like it in defeat), that suffered a loss to a tough-as-nails competitor that is a great wrestler in his own right. While the match yesterday was dominated by Mason (enough so that many will say Todd has his number), I would bet that Cody will come back as strong as ever and figure a way to get inside on Todd . I wouldn't dare guess who would come out on top. If they meet again....it will be a classic!
  7. Amen, brother!....big wahoo for that. Actually, it is the same as every other wahoo.
  8. Todd clearly won handily...ref's whistles had no bearing on the match. I would like to commend Cody Phillips on how he conducted himself after the defeat, like a TRUE CHAMP. No crying, no slapping the mat, no ripping off and throwing the anklet. He stood up like a man, shook Mason's hand, got his gear from his coaches and calmly walked up the stairs. I used it to show my son how he should act when things don't turn out like he wants them to.
  9. Thanks, and you are welcome. Too bad our kids won't realize just how cool we are until we are too old to realize that they realize it. ;D
  10. TSpray, sorry dude....had to boo you for begging. Wrestler60160, was going to boo you, just because your cool points were too high. Then I realized that I have enjoyed alot of your posts, so I gave you another wahoo. I got 5 boos the other day, just for asking how someone figured a wrestler they liked "is actually the favorite," against an opponent that beat him by six this year. You just got to let it go.
  11. Excellent preview, Dingo! Made me aware of same great match-ups that I might have overlooked. Also, very informative as to the accomplishments of some lesser-known kids. Well done!
  12. Runned over, like that idiot dancing in the streets on Tosh.0?
  13. Most high school wrestlers possess all of the qualities of A,B, and C. So, I will go with a D, that has the higher quantity of ABC than his opponent.
  14. Congratulations Bellmontfan. It was a good night for you and the Braves!
  15. Another Post of the Year candidate. It hit awfully close to home, for me.
  16. Alot of people picking the NC semi-state are simply putting Johnson in @ 152. There are 2 Johnsons, Kirk and Montrail, and both are 1 seeds. You don't think they are trying to get 2 for 1 do you? ;D
  17. I had posted 3 factors but removed it immediately because of embarrassment, caused by MattM's much more thorough and well-thought-out list
  18. Going to be tough to beat HSE & LN's, 29-29 criteria match! As far as Predictions: Roncalli 46 East Central 18 New Castle 36 Columbus East 33 Roncalli 41 New Castle 24
  19. Thanks, RG, for proving my point. If # of champions is the only criterion applied to the 2011 tournament; Merrillville will probably not be the toughest semi-state. That honor would go to New Castle most likely, with Evansville having a chance to produce more champs.
  20. Evansville Semi-state: 103. Clawson 3 112. Goebel 3 119. Vanhook 2 125. Henderson 2 130. Hoehn 3 135. Dowdy 2 140. Boyd 2 145. Richey 1 152. Horrocks 3 160. Sims 4 171. Warner 2 189. Sandwith 2 215. Helmick 2 285. Stevenson 4 35 pts. possible
  21. True story....my wife and I were going to fish a lake we had never fished before. Stopped into the local bait shop to get some minnows. Behind the old guy at the counter was a HUGE stuffed beaver. Being in awe, I innocently said, "Geez uz, that's the biggest beaver I've ever seen." My wife, having a great sense of humor, quickly says, "you sure about that?" To which I replied, "it may not be the biggest, but it is definitely the cutest." Her sense of humor evaporated instantly as she yelled, "Oh really?" The old guy had to pick his jaw up off the counter.
  22. I miss The Angry Beavers! btw, got the Primus reference.
  23. It is an easy one, this year. NEW CASTLE!
  24. NC update: 103, 119, 125, 140, 145, 152, 215 in finals. 135 in consolation 112, 171 out
