  1. I should be there if the wife gives me permission.
  2. A couple? Back in my day you could buy 4 for that amount. What is the world coming to.
  3. Fair enough. I will agree that there are 2 sides to the argument. I do believe almost every 15 year old should have a max of 200 bpm. Otherwise what is the point of being young. By the way a 2:50 marathon time is no joke. Nice work.
  4. I am just not finding anything on being able to increase your max heart rate on the internets. I can see you being able to push your body harder and the person actually hitting their max heart rate and not some other plateau. http://www.active.com/fitness/articles/understanding-your-heart-rates-and-exercise Quote from article. "Maximum heart rate is not a trainable attribute. This means as you become more or less fit -- your maximum heart rate does not change."
  5. Not to discount your research. But just make sure the kids do some sprint workouts and throw some hills in there. You then will have your anaerobic. Plus I may be wrong, but I don't think I am, you don't really increase your max heart rate that has more to do with age and gender than anything. You actually get in shape so it is hard to hit your max heart rate. Therefore you can keep a sustained effort at a lower heart rate but at a faster pace.
  6. Notice when anyone agrees with Joe they preface it with "I have to agree with Joe".
  7. They should just throw my name on there to get it out of the way.
  8. http://www.uproxx.com/sports/2013/09/georgia-high-schooler-wrestled-kid-syndrome-became-new-hero/
  9. If you plan on eating out tomorrow. Name the type of food and I will point you in the right direction. Unfortunately since it is Sunday some of the best places to get grub will be closed.
  10. Weird... They have a couple State champs headed their way in about 10 years. It will be a shame if they can't win a conference title also.
  11. Just a FYI. They did away with hospitality food at semi-state. Probably because the year before last almost got violent when all coaches that had any heavies wrestling got no food.
  12. Loppy you are going to break a hip.
  13. The most famous one is running a wrestling website.
  14. Back when FWCS pulled their weight.
  15. Rodney you're a good guy and a great wrestler. Good to have you on the board. Y2 be nice to him.
  16. I would like to state that there probably is no bigger fan of wrestling than Bolden. Well maybe the other "Puking Billy Goat". I have watched him wrestle since high school and he can do some pretty impressive stuff. I have also traveled with him and the other goat to Iowa. With that said I can see the Y2 beating him (once). Y2 has a slippery slide by that he can catch you on the first time you wrestle him. Then he will will just stall that match out. Please tell me that is how the match went Y2.
  17. I remember a wrestler from Eastside went from 103 his Freshman year to 160 is Sophomore year.
  18. I am pretty sure my coach in high school would go as far to say. "Yes any of those things are pretty much worthless for wrestling"
