    120 Thrine got a tough tough draw.. Stud Jefferson 1st round and if he wins more than likely have White.. only to have Seltzer if he can punch his ticket.. and 113 cottey and wolf possibly is ridiculous

    At Richmond 220 #17 ranked returning SQ 40-2 Browning didn't advance..NC first year 220 Jack Taylor ws losing by 4 with 30 seconds opening round to get a reversal and pin with 4 seconds left.. Then turns around and wins a UTB 9-8 over Stud Schaefer to make the finals.. Then almost pulled another upset over Pierce losing at the very end 5-3.. Considering Pierce pinned jack twice already this shows his resiliency! First year Kid gets regional runner up in a loaded field.. Glad he's got another year to learn.. Congrats to all the coaches and wrestlers all across the state!

    That match would've gotten a lot of buzz similar Lee vs Red in its own right..2 highly nationally ranked studs in the State finals doesn't happen all that often around here..

    I'm not bashing on the kid or nothing I just think Silas would beat him handily..Too strong,fast, phyisical and technical for Bates.. He's representing team USA for a reason and 1 of the best big men the states ever seen..Bates will more than likely win state at 220 but will have a few tough match ups there.

    Crappy rule and an unethical for the coach to use that loophole in that manner imho.

    Silas is also better since he got hurt as Bates def wrestled 195 this year before Silas went down to 195..Bates is a great wrestler no doubt about that.. We could've found out if Bates could hang had he not went up to 220 once silas made 195...Bates wrestled at least 15x matches at 95 from his track account.

    Mooresville is always disgusting..I remember 170 few years ago had all 4 placers make it to state and Champion came out of it.. And the prior years State runner up didn't even win the regional... then the following year at 170 there was eventual 182 State champ,195 runner up and 2 State Qualifiers 182 and 170.. Always loaded top to bottom!

    You're exactly right about 220! Some lesser known Brutes that all can scrap! 138 Walsh of Ktown is a sleeper and 2x SSQ that lost in ticket round last year to stud Wilkerson 6-3.. good athlete that could be a tough test for guys trying get to The Bank...@195 undefeated Krummen who could be a placer has a a very tall order vs the Reigning, defending Undefeated undisputed 195 Pound State Champion! Imho Silas pins the field...120 Could have a solid finals if the seeds play out that way with 36-1 #19 Freshman Thrine vs a Very tough 31-5 Scneider of the Undefeated undeerrated East Central Trojans! 170 We have #15 Ragle wth a potential rematch vs NCSS RANKED Malson whos having a solid season himself at 35-4..Ragle won 8-2 their first match.. be 1 to keep an eye on if they both advance to finals!

    120 at NC is disgusting as well..7 ranked studs with 4 of the top 10..1,4,7,10,13,14,19!

    First year 220 Jack Taylor (29-6) of New Castle pinned 39-1 returning SQ and #17 ranked Browning of Northeastern at Tri sectional semis ! He's beat Jack twice this year and Jack's gotten better and better and beat #5ncss Smitley at conference as well.. Proud of the kid especially considering he moved here from Mississippi and had never had seen wrestling ! He's only a jr as well.. Tough task vs very underrated Pierce of Richmond regardless us Trojans are proud!
