    Currently Trackwrestling would be your video vault of recent events. The IHSAA makes a video available to purchase of several old ones. I'm guessing with copyright rules posting some of those videos on outside websites may not be perfectly legal. But, I'm glad to have any access to footage from the "good old days."

    I kinda went 50/50 Senior Season & Rest of HS career with my thought process. I ranked my top picks for best senior season and tournament finish. Then ranked my top picks for best combined Fresh-Junior seasons and tournament finishes from the group of Seniors. I combined the rankings for the two lists and came out with Bailey as my most deserving pick.

    I assumed something happened to his and he had to find a loaner. I've never heard the actual story though. Maybe someone on here knows.

    IHSAA state tournament isn't classed nor are there an even number of teams from each class in every Sectional/Regional. So I don't think their is a clear way to show the success factor across all contests and apply it evenly to the Team state competition. Plus with only three Team state classes I don't think we would see too much mobility of teams between classes if a success factor was applied.

    If you are walking out for your last career match at least they can say they made it a lifetime memory. That's the way to go out. I loved how they keep trying to find ways to score rather than settle into the regular HWT hand fighting battle. How many times do HWT get to say their match was one of the highlight points of State?

    Can we class by proximity and affordability of the Academies. It seems like we are seeing more wrestlers from different size communities flourish from access to that training than just merely the size of their student population.

    Yes but Semi-State & State qualifiers automatically are signed up for the event. I think he means we won't know who actually will participate from that group until the day of the event.

    No offense to a solid senior class, but I'd like to see our top Juniors in a Dual against any other junior groups in the Mid-west. Sure wish Scholastic Duals were more of a priority trip for our nearby states.

    Our Junior class is pretty solid.

    We had to wait a bit longer than projected, but that "Black Out" finally did happen.

    I'm assuming the extra shoes Black had with him on the podium were Levi's. If so that was a nice tribute to him.

    The intros tend to cut into the Fox Sports tv time so they likely don't worried about including them in the broadcast. I always thought it would be nice to see a 30min recap show and highlight real of the tournament leading up to the final.

    Ian Miller a few years back at NCAA got screwed by not being given an escape point that cost him a shot at the finals. The fact it wasnt reversed after there was evidence to prove his case was down right tragic.

    Last year, maybe two, IHSAA agreed to start scoring from the opening round.

    A lot of times the results will be posted as the number of matches won in the dual. But it is actually scored for team points based on how you won the match. If I recall correctly the points are awarded: 3-0 for a win 3-1 for a when with opponent scoring. 4-0 for a tech 4-1 for a tech with opponent scoring 5-0 for a pin.

    He spent a lot of time battling upper body with Iran. That rarely work in out favor and in his match took a lot of time off the clock.
