  1. There used to be a poster on the board named PistolPete that you should talk to about this. I really think you two would get along well.
  2. https://www.trackwrestling.com/tw/predefinedtournaments/VerifyPassword.jsp?tournamentId=684804132
  3. Best case scenario would have been Hinkle Fieldhouse. The central location and seating are there, although based on prior attendance it would be a tight fit. Balls States Worthen arena is already used for Gymnastics and Volleyball most years. It slightly away from the center of the state but has enough seating. Pretty much the same story with Purdue’s Mackey Arena. I honestly don’t want it squeezed into a HS gym that’s not accommodation to fans and atmosphere wise a big disservice to the wrestlers who qualify. I just wish the IHSAA was proactive with trying to work with the colleges on this at the end of last season when there was plenty of time to adjust things. I fear if they haven’t locked anything in by now many of the somewhat centrally located colleges would have already had scheduled set for next years boys/girls basketballs season and little ability to shift dates.
  4. I definitely feel like it happen to IU back in the old days of Bloomington High School.
  5. The score was being put in backwards (at least on Flo video feed) it was actually Ocampo over Crull 7-0.
  6. If IU has a healthy full strengths lineup I think they can pull this one off, word is Rutgers has a few wrestlers out of the lineup due to injury and other issues.
  7. It’s a real place. I used to talk to a girl from there back in my younger days. At least she told me she was from there. Dang, now I’m questioning reality.
  8. From checking a couple times tonight it looks as through someone just wrapped them up a few minutes ago. Hopefully they are double checking everything and then opening them soon after.
  9. What even crazier is at Girls 106 we have a few others, besides the young ladies listed above, that have also done well on the national circuit. It’s going to be a dog fight for anyone there to place.
  10. The Flo/Track feed was back up for a few min. But it just dropped out again.
  11. Yeah track has one mat listed. The video link directs you to a different mat on Flo. Both say Event as Concluded. As well as any of the other Live Mat options through Flo. Someone please ask the folks at Connersville to fix this they have the experience.
  12. I’ve been preparing for a test for weeks, including creating multiple Venn Diagram and flow charts. But casualwrestlingfan said “it doesn’t mean squat. “ At this point I’m not sure how to best prepare for the final exam or if there will even be one.
  13. Condolences to the family. I wish I new more of some of our state college programs, but much if that information take a big research dive. Past some of the accolades of McCan connected with Bruce Baumgartner era I haven’t heard much of Indiana States program history in general. Nor some of other college programs either. If one of our great IndianaMat writers has some free research time during our off season I’d love to see some articles on these forgotten college programs. College success stories like Mr. Dickman or the development of coaching trees which spawned some of our better Indiana HS programs are way past due for some recognition.
  14. There were several programs that didn’t put out their high level guys over this week of mid-season tournaments.
  15. Can we an have an emergency IHSWCA meeting to add a 3.5A division to this years team state so this issue can be remedied. Team eligibility being based on school who were once above 2000 but have recently fell below it during the course of the current school year.
  16. She did just beat or finished ahead of 6, 7 and 8.
  17. My upsetness is that I didn’t get to make fun of the lack of information from the Spartan Classic this year, since they finally figured out how the internet works. Actually I’m not upset at all, way to go Connersville!
  18. With the mid-year tournaments coming to an end soon we are about to start the dual season. What is your Big10 feelings, expectations, and/or takes?
  19. I’d hope this attempt to seed the competition would happen at Regionals. But state separation (I don’t like referring to it as seeding) is likely just going to be based on what placement the girls got at Regionals, just like the boys event. I’m side it may cause a couple lobsided results but we see that at the semi-stete and state level for boys at some weights too.
  20. I think most of the seeding could be accomplished without much of a seed meeting if the coaches would submit accurate information. Basing the seeds from this years girl vs girl results (using overall record including boys results maybe somewhat helpful but girl vs girl seem like it would prevent any discrepancy issues) and last years state series qualifiers and placers you should be able to identify and separate most of the top girls so they don’t meet until at least the semi-finals. With more opportunities you should have some head to head and several common opponents to help sort out the top 4 or 5 entries at each weight, that is if the coaches would send it in.
