There are several teams that don't stand a chance to win! That's not the point this person is asking questions! New pal should be involved! Thanks for posting the qualifications for people to read! Trent the way you conducted yourself was inappropriate! But I expect that from someone who forfeits against good kids & not speaking of just one incident! This is why people don't want to get involved on the association because it's like a popularity contest! -

I have to say the officating was NOT good even in the 1st match and Guess what.. We did win. So it is not always if they loose. Im not sure that I have ever heard or seen so many upset fans and wrestlers that day regarding officiating. With two refs per mat, I would think things would be different... In my personal opinion I believe that Semi State needs to be in another location. Or at least alternate with another venue. The parking lot was one sheet of ice and I saw two elder women fall down, One was taken to the hospital. I do like the fact they have a lot of restrooms. The concession stand is not equip to serve that amount of people, and the selection was slim....... and OMG did you see the $1 program books. I couldn't read the writting and I have 20/20 vision. But I used my handy dandy Magnify....lol It was very hard to find the trainer before the matches started, and once we did, there was one and he/she was backed up... we actually waited in line to buy a $10 WRISTBAND for 30 minutes. Maybe another person helping in that area would be great. The seating capacity seems to be good, but for those older fans, or wheelchair fans, it becomes a very difficult process to get seating. Congrats to those moving on to state!! -

I agree. The officiating at New Castle is the worse yet that I have seen from so called HS refs. These kids work long and hard all year to have to leave it in the hands of officials who can't get up or down on the mats... WE EXPECT KIDS TO ACT CERTAIN WAYS, STAY IN GOOD POSITION, ETC ETC. Or there are consequences. What are the consequences for OFFICIALS when they make horrible calls, or are in the wrong position to call falls.. ?????? Oh, nothing..

I just want to say Good luck to all. I love the fact that I see so many underclass men at the semi-state level. -
My son has wrestled Quincy several times the past 4 years. We have beat him and he has beat us. We have been in several state final matches with him in Folkstyle and even finals in Regionals. Quincy is a great wrestler, his parents and his coach's definatley are great also. I believe (from experience) that teenagers have a lot of emotions and the competitive ones have even more. I am not stating that the negative behavior is okay, but remember these are still children and they are simply learning. They are all great kids, they just sometimes make "bad decisions". The rude comments and name calling is an example of "bad decisions". If parents and adults make these "bad decisions", why are we getting upset if children do. Stating that his parents & Coach don't address these issues, are simply an opinion. I know I address issues with my child every day and Don't annouce it to the world, nor always do it in public. I know the parents personally and I would have to say, that you are speaking out of turn to state they wouldn't address any parenting issue. "THOU SHALL NOT JUDGE".... Parenting styles or children. ( my opinion)
