Southport is what I was referring to. I love the tournament, hate the internet service. We will still be back next year though

Outside of our two kids, he was the one I was rooting for the most at Indy. So glad to see him get on the podium this year

What would feelings be if Mater Dei showed up at 1A 2A state?

The internet there was terrible, but it is going to take much more than that to sway anyone from that tournament.

There are simply too many to list. This tournament is a fantastic indicator for who you will see in Indy the following year.

Our 160 has that problem and battled it every match and often times during practice. Definitely not easy to deal with. -
I double checked and my mistake was looking at the current travel times for today. We are getting it handed to us by the blizzard up north so the travel times on maps have been adjusted due to how bad the roads are. I stand corrected on that.

Google Maps shows me that it is shorter for Brownsburg and Avon to go to Evansville than it is to East Chicago unless I looked at it wrong. Pke and BD are just a few minutes further away from Evansville than East Chicago

Rensselaer is now 2A and Pioneer is a small 1A and not a 4A that they are listed at here. I believe KV and Boone Grove are classed wrong. What happens in 3 years when the "balance of power" changes completely to a different part of the State? Do you move everything again? Evansville has been deep recently, but I can remember when East Chicago/Merrillville was just as deep. Things change too often to revamp based on what we are seeing now. I know it is hypothetical, but Rensselaer does not have the facilities to host a regional. Unless you only allow one parent per wrestler and no other fans.

That tournament in the late 90's was very good. I believe Lake Central was there along with Merrillville at one point.

I wouldn’t say they are falling behind at all. East chicago is very top heavy this year with crown point (and the Crown Point regional) being so good that it’s tough to win that semi state. The Penn 220 is legit and the finals match was great the Penn regional will have more than a few on the podium Saturday night and that’s what matters

Rob Pavletic from Hobart. Form what I remember he was on nobody's radar but got hot and rode it all the way to a title his Junior year

My prediction is that the hospitality room at EC is top notch as usual.
