No matter how strong you are it is difficul to give up almost 40-50 pounds. Especially to someone who is also strong.

I think harper is good enough to beat most wrestlers even when he is hurt but vs. the better wrestlers it is hard to give up anything espicially an injury. But I am sure he would not use it as an excuse.

Have chalfant and Fitzgerald ever wrestled each other in past state tournaments

I think that they will probably end up with two state champs in roach and shrewsbury. If the other three wrestle good and a little luck they could come home with five champs.

Sandefur looks huge. When he wrestled surma it looked like a 130 pounder vs a 160 pounder. But surma held his own.

4-2 Porras was close to scoring another takedown at the end. As for the stalling or non stalling calls harper got hit once for stalling Porras was tough on top but for the most part harper's head was on the mat. You are not going to be able to get out like that. I think he could have been called again but then again they were not to many stall calls all day.

Tough draw for lil brooks he was probably the third best wrestler at 103. I believe his only two losses this year came from Stevens and ayersman -
Other than the shot at the end of regulation and in overtme neither wrestler was close to scoring. That shot at the of regulation was a close call and dillon showed why you should never stop wrestling on the edge or with time runnng out.

Porras controlled the whole match almost like he was to strong for harper. I don't think it was as close ad the score shows.

The match looked pretty even except for the takedown in overtime. I think next time (if it happens next week) we will see more action. It seemed like they were just feeling each other out.

Ayersman looked today like always. He has a nasty outside single leg. I would not be suprised if he won it next week.

According to their website merrillville has the finals scheduled for 4:00. They are usually pretty good about keeping to the schedule.

I believe whoever lost to the champion in the first round would be the alternate

He threw him at the edge of the mat and got a two count then they went out of bounds. He was on his back for about five seconds.

As far as cp and merrillville using the old qualifications of only top 3 going go semistate cp would have 10 and merrillville would have 12. Still not a bad day

I think if you ask a different fan from each team which team got the most calls or which team got screwed by the refs you would get different answers from each.

Whoever announces should definetly learn how to pronounce every wrestlers name before the finals.
